Has a Star Fallen? - Sleeping Santa Gift2015/16

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Sorry to you, for having waited so patiently for this piece to be finished. I'm a bit caught up in some things, as I am currently between jobs and many other things get in the way of being able to art or anything, and on top of that I lost motivation quite a few times, not to mention I lost my data and had to do a whole part of the picture again :exhausted: But again, sorry for how late this is Please don't burn me at the stake   For those who don't know, this was supposed to be a Secret Santa gift, but I guess Santa accidentally skipped Pandii and woke up late from his cookie and milk hibernation or something.

As for the picture itself, I had quite the selection to choose from with your characters and I regretted choosing Venom almost immediately Oddly enough it wasn't the anatomy that threw me for a loop (at least not as much as I thought it would) as I finished the paper sketch in one sitting (a rarity indeed) But it was all the little details here and there about your character that, while colouring digitally, completely kicked my arse Pandii Mah dear; I'm convinced that you have declared war on your fingers, complete, and total knee deep in blood, armed to the teeth, brutally vicious war  Not to say that drawing Venom wasn't fun I had a lot of fun doing this piece even when I was redrawing the lil details over for the third time (I decided to get all the actual physical parts in the sketch and just add the other details through digital) but I had to try and at least get them to look subpar which was quite challenging considering I'm not used to such complexities. Ah, but that's good, no? It's like that one saying "Cry in the dojo, laugh in the battlefield" except it'd be "Cry in the studio, laugh in the.....art field?" Ah ya get what I mean   Of course, my BRAND SPANKING NEW TABLET also helped a great deal    

I didn't have much time to read any back story or personality traits that your character may have, and what little I did read went in one eyeball, and out the other(?) So I settled on making a scene that wouldn't be causing any too-big discrepancies. Walking at night is pretty safe...right? Of course being myself I thought "Hey, what are they looking at?" at the last minute and decided to put a bright, glowly light Don't ask any questions, and just use your imagination; it'll take you places

That sky I actually had fun with (I mean I had MORE fun, as the whole piece entirely was fun to work on) as I've not made decent sky in any of my drawings yet, and this is finally a step above what I've done before I decided to make galaxies in it because why not?! I had so much fun with those, I got to experiment and try different things and learn from my mistakes One of them being to always save because shortly after I completed the galaxies my computer crashed SOOO I had to redraw them again from scratch (as well as the stars) But the second time went by much faster as I knew what to do and didn't repeat mistakes I did the first time around; so it all worked out anyway I think part of it has to do with the fact that I was listening to this as I was drawing the sky, which is a gorgeous way to listen to the universe okay that sounded weird. I meant it sounds kinda spacey....like a music tract that would be used to show the wonders of space or something leave me alone, I'm sleep deprived.
