Forest Sketch Reference Sheet

Note: The furry bits on Forest are just my style and not something unique to him, same with his wing size.

Name: Forest Sketch

Cutie mark: A pencil and paint brush crossed over a sketchbook

Talent: Forest is incredibly skilled at creating art in all forms.  His preferred medium is painting with sketching as his second favorite, but he is proficient in all other art forms.  He can quickly pick up any new art form and find his own technique and style to create it with.

Flight: Forest is an average flier, he doesn't fly too often though, preferring to walk when his with his sister or friends.

Job: Forest used to live in Canterlot, taking art commissions from the nobles.  When he moved back to Withervale he stopped receiving most of his commission requests from them.  He now works for the public relations department of Withervale, creating displayable art pieces to be displayed around town for social functions.  He also takes on commissions from any number of local businesses who wish to decorate their stores and shops.

Likes: Art, his sister, his friends, calm scenarios, deep discussions

Dislikes: Loud noises, unexpected situations, bullies, awkward scenarios

Personality: Forest is an introverted stallion.  He is not too social normally, but once he gets involved in something he is very interactive with others.  Through his time in Canterlot he is capable of interacting with, and navigating social interactions with nobles.  Forest is not a very romantic stallion, as his only crush he ever had brought him pain, he avoids romantic interactions with anypony.  He comes of as reserved at first, but once a pony gets to know him, he is a kind and respectful pony, who is willing to help out his friends however he can.  When put in new and unexpected situations Forest tends to follow the crowd, and when singled out will often just be nervous and awkward, such as when posing for his reference sheet.

Roommate: Forest applied to the Withervale Housing program at the suggestion of his sister to make a friend.  He did not expect to become roommates with Autumn Science, who he has had a crush on since he was a young colt.  Despite his feelings he knows he can't have her, but she has become his best friend and he is happy and content with her as such.  Due to his feelings against romance in general Autumn has vowed to help him get a mare, though such ventures always result in awkward and uncomfortable situations which then end in failure. 

Fen Fen: Though Fen Fen is technically Forest's pet, Forest always considers him as a companion.  His sister gave Fen Fen to him when he left for Canterlot.  Since then Fen Fen has been a constant friend, looking out for Forest, being their for him when he needs it, and pointing out Forest's own flaws.  Fen fen has helped him out in more than one situation through his own instincts by sensing trouble.  Fen fen is usually respectful of Forest's art, but every now and then will mess with Forest's stuff if he thinks he hasn't had enough fun.
