Lordling Nuallan

Big ones talking! Bright colored leaves and grass and bugs! There were so many things to look at! If only he could get rid of the shadow behind his butt! The big gaard that had come to live in the Knock’s glade with them, was following his every move and getting in his way! Nuallan frowned at the big one, he didn’t need someone to watch him! He did just fine exploring by himself! But no matter what he did the big one wouldn’t go away! He just kept walking behind him, watching his every step and chasing him away from the other big ones! How was the striped Lordling supposed to learn if he couldn’t listen to the big ones talk?

A flutter of bright colored wings caught the dark colt’s eye, what was that bright thing in the trees? He should find out! That would show the big ones how brave he was! Bouncing excitedly Nuallan trotted towards where he had seen the bright colored thing.

Guardsmen Stevan

If it didn’t beat all, he was babysitting, again. Something he thought was long behind him, yet here he was marching along behind the striped rump of Lord Knox’s eldest fawn. The little Lordling known as Nuallan. The colt seemed to enjoy doing as he pleased, which was wandering off and poking his nose where it didn’t belong. The seal buckskin guard sighed as the silver maned colt, suddenly changed direction and headed straight for the treeline of the Glenwood. Not a safe place for one still as little as he.

Long dark legs easily propelled the older guard in between the buck and the beckoning bushes. “Not so fast, my little lordling!”

Lordling Nuallan

Nuallan squawked as he ran into the big one’s legs, the gaard nudged him back the way he'd came. But he didn't want to go, and so “NO!” He yelled at the gaard and stomped for emphasis. It didn't have the effect he intended, instead of the gaard listening to him. He got a nip on the rump and a push back towards the glades. The big one was frowning at him now, and muttering about telling the Knock something.

Was he going to get him in trouble?! Not if he couldn’t catch him wasn’t! Nuallan bolted off in the direction of the other big ones, silvery tail flagging the air as he ran. He wasn’t getting scolded again, nope. Not this time!

Guardsmen Stevan

Stevan watched the colt speed away, shock evident on his face. Since when were fawns so ill behaved?! By the time he reached where the fawn had disappeared from sight, his little striped rump was nowhere to be seen. Frowning he jogged half ways across before stopping, many does and stags were milling about, but no fawns, striped or otherwise, were anywhere in sight.

He really did hate watching fawns…

Lordling Nuallan

Nuallan had panicked for a moment when he reached the big ones, there weren’t enough of them to hide in! What should he do now? The gaard was coming, where? Where?! A white shape caught the Lordling’s eye. It was the big one from before! Cesray! The colt bounced and darted after the shape disappearing across the meadow. Cesray was nice, he’d helped him find momma before!

Guardsmen Cesare/Lord Eun

Walking stoically behind Lord Eun and his harem, the pale guard wished he was somewhere else, it wasn’t like he was needed today, yet here he was. His silent ramblings about what all he could being doing, were abruptly brought to a halt by someone ramming into him. His head jerked around to spot an all too familiar striped face, the little colt from the winter, Nuallan wasn’t it? The little Lord plastered himself against the pale stag, squeaking his delight at having found a friendly face. How long that lasted would depend on the great dark hulk that had turned to see why his guardsman was no longer with them.

Eun fairly glared at the colt, but stayed silent as the little thing attempted to disappear into the pale shape that was Cesare. The young guard eyed the Lord warily, clearly not trusting him to keep his temper, as he so rarely did this time of year. He feigned a happy grin and smiled down at the colt, “Who might you be? Some friend of Cesare’s I don't know about?” The air seemed to vibrate from the depth of his voice. “He’s just-I mean young Lord Nuallan, m’lord.” Cesare answered quickly. A young lord off by himself, while that was odd. Who’s fawn was he? Eun didn’t get the chance to ask, as a harsh bark of “Found you!” interrupted his line of questioning.

It was the oh so loyal Guardsmen Stevan. Lady Yuki’s half brother, how annoying. The sight of the familiar seal buckskin stag made Eun twitch, but instead of showing his usual irritation for the other, he smiled and greeted him. “Why if it isn’t my favorite guardsmen. Chasing fawns, Stevan. Isn’t that beneath one of your age?” Ok, so he wasn’t exactly being nice.

Guardsmen Stevan

Stevan wrinkled his nose at the sight of the heavily built, Lord Eun, he distrusted this stag very much. But that was less important than the fact that he’d found his quarry, the striped colt was plastered against his nephew’s side, and staring wide eyed at the silver haired lord. Had the older Lord done something to frighten him?

Chasing fawns again… Yes, that was exactly what he was doing. That voice of Eun’s seemed to rumble out of some black pit and was annoying to say the least, however he decided to opt for ignoring the other stag. “Cesare, I see you’ve found who I was looking for?” He smiled at his pale nephew as if no one else was there and it was just the three of them.

Lordling Nuallan

The big dark one was scary! Nuallan didn’t know why, but he wanted to run soon as the big one had looked at him. His eyes weren’t nice, they were dark and made his tummy roll! He was even almost glad the gaard had found him, he didn’t seem to like the big one very much either. Instead he turned and talked to Cesray, like he knew him or something. Cesray simply nodded to the gaard, and nudged him to go with him, but Nuallan didn’t want to go. Even if the scary big one was still here!

“No!” He squeaked from the safety of his pale friend’s side. Cesray could keep him safe, he didn’t need the other gaard. Besides, he was big enough to take care of himself, he just knew he was.

Guardsmen Cesare/Lord Eun

The pale stag was honestly amazed by how well his uncle could hold his temper, though as a guard by choice he’d had far longer to perfect his demeanor. Cesare had a nearly impossible time keeping his thoughts to himself, around Eun he didn’t bother to hold his tongue, and would lip off every chance he got. The silver haired lord would only laugh it off, knowing he had Cesare firmly within his grasp. Stevan turned a cool eye on the dark lord but refused to let him win.

Eun frowned when the seal stag didn’t react. It would take more than a few words to get his goat, hmm? Turning to the colt next to his guardsmen, he stepped closer with a gentle smile. “Lord Nuallan, hmm. Why are you out by yourself? Certainly you should be with your dam or sire?” Rich brown eyes switched from the seal guardsmen to the silver haired lord, widening as they met Eun’s pitch black gaze. The colt stammered and tried to step closer to Cesare than he already was. Was the dark stag such a terrifying presence?

Guardsmen Stevan

It took effort to resist the urge to growl at Eun to mind his own, Nuallan was clearly frightened by the large stag, and wrongly thought he was safe next to his nephew. Cesare could no more protect himself against the lord then he could protect the small fawn. Eun was as bad as any blackblood filth that came over the mountain, the striped lordling would never truly be safe anywhere within the vicinity of such a cruel stag.

“He is the eldest son of Lord Knox, and is currently late returning home. So if you don’t mind, my good Lord Eun. We shall be going! Guardsmen Cesare please turn over Lord Nuallan to me.” He didn’t wait for Cesare to move, he shoved the colt gently away from the pale stag and started towards the family glade. Nuallan amazingly didn’t struggle as he was led away.
