Stats and skill on Drabardi Island and in HARPG

The points you earn by doing art or literature adds up to make the whole ‘skill’. There are several different skills you earn points in and there are different ones depending if your donkey are on the island or in HARPG. Each of these skills have its own level. Depending on HARPG or ISLAND the skill benefit different things.

To be able to make the point count for a particular skill, the picture have to show or the literature has to be about a specific thing, like drawing or writing about your HARPG donkey doing jumping practice if you want get points that count for jumping.

‘Stats’ are the collective term for all skills. With a ‘cap’ it means the restriction on how many points your donkey can earn in a particular skill, depending on type or bloodlines (inbreeding). Some defects, like blindness, can also give a lower cap on a skill (see journal on inbreeding) depending on their severity.

All skills are officially capped at
100 points. Some donkeys can however earn a blessing that make them able to go over these 100 points (or over their type cap).

DID YOU KNOW?

These different stats will come in handy for HARPG Drabardis when the group has its own shows!
For Island Drabardis (as well as HARPG ones) good stats can also help when out and about!

Stats, skillpoints and tiers

While sharing mostly the same pointsheet as the wild Drabardi donkeys the tame ones used in HARPG can divide the LP towards different skills that are more aimed towards the HARPG world. But there are also some skills these two groups share (just like the pointsheet). Every character starts out at Minor - tier 1.

Physical stats*: Speed, Strength, Endurance

TIER 2 - Average (21-40 LP) -
TIER 3 - Notable (41-60 LP) - A new scene! Ah - lovely!

TIER 5 - Prime (81-100 LP) - “Wit makes its own welcome, and levels all distinctions. No dignity, no learning, no force of character, can make any stand against good wit.”

Experience:

Who is the Top Donkey around? Here the donkeys experience and herd status might make a difference. A donkey with a lot of experience know where to find food and water, making others more likely to follow you. You can also use experience to fight another donkey and win, lose or draw. It also helps when knowing when it's better to escape - and how to do so successfully.
More about fights below.

Magic:

More about the different types of magic and their levels in the Magic Journal

The following stats are more for HARPG donkeys than the wild ones;

Temperament:

How the donkey use their temperament, as a competitor, as the companion to a show horse, stable mascot, childrens donkey, petting zoo, being in the pasture with your other horses making them feel good, happy, relaxed and other positive feelings.
The higher the level, the better temperament the donkey have. However - even at level 1 the donkey have a good temperament, it might just be more “spooky” in the donkey type of way (ie might need more persuasion to move forward to something new, it won't bolt on you) than the higher levels.

TIER 1 - Minor (0-20 LP) A normally a good donkey, but can act “stereotypical” towards new things, but is never afraid to check them out at it's own pace. Forcing it won't be a good idea.
TIER 2 - Average (21-40 LP) Good can only turn into Great, right? With time and allowed to investigate things as well as places the donkey will only be better.
TIER 3 - Notable (41-60 LP) Stellar temperament! Even if you could entrust the donkey with a child before it's now you can truly leave the donkey with any sort of baby and you can be sure it's in good hands. Perhaps something trustworthy and safe for your weanlings?
TIER 4 - Significant (61-80 LP) Excellent, what else is there to say? Perhaps you can offer to bring your longeared buddy to help those that need extra comfort and to ease the pain of wounds that can not be seen?
TIER 5 - Prime (81-100 LP) Exceptional! No more words are needed to describe this donkey!

The skills below dont really have a full description to each level,
but its easy to guess that a higher skill number = a more skillful donkey.

Dressage:

How well the donkey move and how it shows off it’s natural athletic ability. The higher the level, the better the donkey can perform the different movements.
TIER 1 - Minor (0-20 LP)
TIER 2 - Average (21-40 LP)
TIER 3 - Notable (41-60 LP)
TIER 4 - Significant (61-80 LP)
TIER 5 - Prime (81-100 LP)

Gaits:

How good/clean the donkey own gaits are. The higher the score the more likely that they can develop their gaits further. The higher the level, the better the donkey handle it's gaits.
TIER 1 - Minor (0-20 LP)
TIER 2 - Average (21-40 LP)
TIER 3 - Notable (41-60 LP)
TIER 4 - Significant (61-80 LP)
TIER 5 - Prime (81-100 LP)

Jumping:

How good the donkey itself is at jumping. The higher the score the more likely that they can jump higher and wider.
TIER 1 - Minor (0-20 LP)
TIER 2 - Average (21-40 LP)
TIER 3 - Notable (41-60 LP)
TIER 4 - Significant (61-80 LP)
TIER 5 - Prime (81-100 LP)

Type caps

The different types of Drabardi is good at different things and the limits are often due to size and build, like the smallest Pesha is not as strong as the large Barri - for natural reasons. And the Barri isnt as agile as the Kalpana etc, etc.

Pesha Build Caps | Strength : 40 | Endurance : 50 | Dressage : 40 | Jumping : 60 |

Kalpana Build Caps | Strength : 50 | Dressage : 50 | Jumping : 50 |

Baro Build Caps | Speed : 70 | Strength : 60 |

Barri Build Caps | Speed : 50 | Endurance : 50 | Dressage : 50 | Gaits : 50 | Jumping : 35 |

Fights

The stats that will be taken to account in a fight besides Experience are: Strength, Endurance, Wit and Social. A donkey that have two levels higher than it's opponents highest level (from the mentioned skills) get an automatic win for the whole fight. Each of the skills (Strength, Endurance, Wit and Social) are looked on separately. The “fight roll” is made into four rounds, one for each skill. Whoever gets the best out of four wins, and Experience are used as a tiebreak.

A higher (herd status) ranked donkey will always win over a lower ranked when it come to fights, but the lower ranked donkey will still gain +0,5 LP in experience. If there is a fight over territory borders, food sources or jennys (if the fighters are jacks) or not, it's up you as players.

If you want the fight rolled by an admin just send in the fighters together with their Strength/Endurance/Wit/Social stats. You can also chose together with your collaboration partner who wins and “ignore” the fight-rolls. Only the loser will get experience points however!

The leadjennys and herdjacks of the canon herds can't be fought with, but you can always chose to fight with a predator if you would stumble over one - however be aware of the danger!

Stats Recordkeeping

In order for your Drabardi to make the most of their skills, make sure you keep their profile up to date as well as list/store all art and the LP it is worth. This way, when your donkey reaches a certain amount of LP, an admin will be able to access all the art and its worth in one place to confirm the level up.

REMEMBER:
Any gained points that are not on your character’s recordjournal will not count when your donkey need to use them!

HOW TO Make your Drabardis record journal can be found HERE

Breeding Profits

The stats will also come into importance when it come to breeding. You could basicly say that the amount of points = how good your donkey are. You can see more about it here: Drabardi and Life Points under Starter/Custom and Born In-Game.
The HARPG Drabardi Donkeys can - if skilled enough - earn themselves a Jack/Jenny of all Trade blessing (for more information about this please look at the Blessing journal).
For more information on breeding, please look at the Breeding journal.
