One week left to enter. Contest closing date is Monday 25th April...

This month we want to focus on two areas of photography, and have more of our members being PhotoActive. We want to see new images that have been taken for the challenge, so please don't submit any old images.

Our theme for April will be:

Architecture

Sub-categories of Architecture on DeviantArt:
Bridges & Suspended Structures - Photographs where the focus is a bridge or a built architectural structure.
Details - Photographs of architectural details, close-ups, fragments, or facades that do not fully express the interior or exterior of a building or structure.
Exterior - Photographs where the focus is the exterior of a building or any finished architectural object
Interior - Photographs focusing on the architecture of an enclosed space within a building.
Statues & Monuments - Photographs of statues monuments, and mortuary stones.
Other - Architecture photography that does not fit into any of the categories.
We have our theme, now for the technical bit...

Leading Lines

Definition: Leading lines are lines within an image that leads the eye to another point in the image, or occasionally, out of the image. Anything with a definite line can be a leading line.

Some tips on how to use Leading Lines in your composition:

1. You can focus on an entire building and use the roof and sides as leading lines.
2. Use the road or ground as a guide to the focal point.
3. You can also find leading lines in the details.
4. It doesn't have to be a straight line, but it should be a line that draws your eye towards a focal point.

How to enter, and why you should enter:
