Kabuki Sakuyamon and her new guest

"Do you miss her?" asked Sakuyamon to the new resident in her temple.
"I barely knew her" replied Angemon shrugging his shoulders "And she certainly doesn´t miss me!"


Sakuyamon smiled. Every time Nova´s name was mentioned, he couldn´t hide his anxiousness.


"How could she miss the one who refused to be her partner?" she said "My dear angel, you´ve been a fool!"


Angemon said nothing. He needn´t any memorandums , every day he would say that to himself!


"I am aware of your past actions. I understand why you want to go back to that little boy´s side so badly..." added the holy priestess " But you  broke my former disciple´s heart"

"..."


"You certainly underestimated her. She spent an entire year in this world, fighting in a war that she didn't choose and forced to assume a role that nobody wanted...because she was hoping to rescue her only family. In the end, her wish wasn't granted..."

"I am now  aware of that, thank you very much" mumbled the angel "How long will I be trapped in this world?"

When the Gods sent little Takeru back to his reality, making him believe everything was a dream, they declared that Tempus Angemon should become Nova´s partner and help her fulfill her task: finding her missing brother Magnus.

But as soon as the angel delivered her back home, he ended declaring that his true and only partner was the chosen of Hope and wanted nothing with anybody else. His words hurt Nova so much that she, in a fit of rage, activated her digivice and made Tempus Angemon revert back into Angemon. Not satisfied with that, she instinctively summoned a Gate of Destiny (her digivice had, by that time,  scanned and collected hundreds of digicodes) and  banished the capricious angel to the Digiworld. And to prevent him from re-entering the human world, Nova also sealed all the gates (although she did it unconsciously)

"Knowing my disciple, you are going to be our guest for a good while. Nova´s temper can be as nasty as Alphamon ´s, may the Gods bless his departed soul..."

"What happened to those people?"

Sakuyamon didn´t reply.

"They died, right?"
"Save for Kentaurosmon, yes. Piedmon , while embedded with the 4 Gods powers, managed to annihilate them.  Nova barely managed to keep it together while watching them fall under his blades, one by one..."


Angemon´s heart fell to his feet. The more he heard about the girl, the more he felt guilty.

"Is she...ok?"

Sakuyamon summoned a magic mirror and showed what was happening in the human world.

Nova was back at school but her sweetness was gone. Both Sakuyamon and Angemon wer left astonished when the camera revealed   Nova submerged in a sea of rage. She was grabbing Daisuke Motomoya 's shirt collar. Whatever the lad may have said, Nova was way too angry. Her eyes were flamming in a dangerous way.

"Oh Lord!" said Sakuyamon "She´s still pissed!"

Angemon bit his lips, puzzled.

" Oh dear" he mumbled. That girl was bordering the berserker mode. Daisuke's face could tell the whole story as well, covered in a sea of sweat and not knowing what to do. She was ready to murder him! 
The angel suddenly felt very bad. From what he remembered, she wasn't that agressive!


Suddenly, the girl sighed and let go of the unfortunate classmate.

"No" whispered Nova " I shouldn't even bother with people like you..." her hands trembled "Make yourself a favor, don't ever approach me again..." she let him go and exited the classroom. Moments later, she was leaving the building sobbing like a little child.


The scene broke both Sakuyamon and Angemon's hearts. The angel looked at Kabuki and she sighed. 
Piedmon wasn't the only one to blame. Angemon too  was  responsible for Nova's bitterness as he failed to fulfill the girl's wish, which was to help her find her missing brother. When he was Tempus Angemon, he had the power to trascend universes . But he refused and, as a consequence, the power was gone and he was exiled to a Digiworld that wasn't originally his. 

"Sometimes destiny is too cruel. She will never be the same " after a long pause, Kabuki Sakuyamon spoke "But destiny can also be a healer. Sooner or later, you will be rejoining her side and fix your mistakes"

"Are you certain?"

"Yes"

"...."

"Before you can dream of meeting the little boy, you have to fulfill the broken promise. Regardless of your likes or dislikes"

He didn't reject the words. He had more than enough time to reflect on his actions and if the gods were willing to grant him a second chance, he would take it.


"When...?"


The female deity shook her head.

"I cannot tell you. But that day will arrive" she patted his shoulder "  Good luck on that one, you'll need it..."


Angemon wouldn´t meet Nova again until she turned 16.
