You walk into the town's guide hall, its seats filled with travelers with heavy gear and toughened Pokemon. Some newer than others, eager to get their first quest or some hardened by the years of experience of sticking by their duty and getting jobs done.

You look up to the giant noticeboard on the wall and scan through the hundreds of jobs pinned on it, some innocuous like "Find lost Skitty's" and "Help clean the river" to epic sounding like "Hunt for artifacts" or "Explore corrupted wastelands".

Before you get dizzy from looking at all the notices, a staff member comes over and helps pick out a job advert that matches your quest rank. Now, do you eager set off now with your Pokemon or take some time to prepare first?

The Ranks

There are 13 ranks with hundreds of jobs to complete - while you can try to rush through them, the idea is for these to be small missions to take on when you have the time and want some extra items.

Everyone starts at rank "Normal - 0" which will be listed in your inventory. The more jobs you do the further you progress to the next rank which leads to more and more prizes!

Normal Rank (5 quests)
Bronze Rank (10 quests)
Silver Rank (15 quests)
Gold Rank (25 quests)
Platinum, Ruby, Sapphire Rank (40 quests each)
Emerald, Pearl Rank (50 quests each)
Diamond, S Rank (100 quests each)
SS Rank (150 quests)
SSS Rank (1 quest)

The Bonuses

Completing a quest will give you a set amount of 15 caps, 15 stardust and item as thanks for doing the job. Higher ranks lead to better and more plentiful prizes and you'll also receive a small goodie box of items after clearing a rank.

All Pokemon used in the quest also gain a +2 level bonus on top of their drawn/written levels!

The Gear

Before you take on a quest you must make sure you have the correct gear in your inventory! Everyone starts off with a Basic Exploration Pack for normal quests but as you gain ranks you will need to purchase better packs from the Trading Outpost.

The items listed in the packs are for story purposes except for Escape Ropes which can be used to "skip" a mission straight to the next one while still granting the prize - if you're a traveler with deep pockets, more can be purchased from the Trading Outpost!

Normal Rank = Basic Exploration Pack
No escape ropes, poke-bait, 2 days ration, local town map, compass, small tent.

Bronze/Silver/Gold Rank = Precious Metal Exploration Pack
3x escape ropes, 3 days ration, local area map, and other items included in previous pack.

Platinum Rank = Platinum Exploration Pack
1x silk escape rope, 4 days ration, gas mask, map of larger area, inflatable raft.

The Quests

To begin a quest, simple comment on this journal and you will be given an assignment that matches you rank - from there you can complete it in your own time with no deadline to worry about! If you lose your comment/quest prompt then just make a new one and we'll get it again for you.

Most quests require you to draw/write your trainer and/or Pokemon doing the quest, but how you do it is up to your interpretation so feel free to get creative - just as long as it's related to completing the prompt!

When you're done, submit your work into the "Quests" gallery folder and respond to the mod with a link of your submission, or if your prompt required you to do something in the group then just link that instead.
