Traits: Quiet, Serious, Determined

Personality: Once a happy fawn, after the death of his mother Amund took on a more serious, quiet attitude. He lurks at the edge of the herd now, watching like a dark shadow, being a orphaned stag he’s of little interest to most of the herd and he it fully aware of that.

Appearance: A scrawny, malnourished fawn with scruffy, dull dark coat. A few lighter fawn spots are visible on his flanks. Braided in his mane is a lock of lighter brown hair, from his now deceased mother, next braided into his mane is a wolf’s tooth.

History: For fawn growing up in the murk of the Blackwood, Amund had a happy normal fawnhood. Born the first fawn to a loving mother, who if she was disappointed her first born was a stag did not show it in her care of her son. Blackwood, however, is not a carefree place as young Amund quickly learned. In the fall of 763 Amund’s mother, an herbalist, had decided to join some other in one last herb gathering trip. If there had been any sign that anything ill was about to happen no one saw fit to share with a young stag-fawn. Amund had waited expectantly with the herd for his mother to return. The party returned in the early evening, later than planned, bloodied and tired. Stag, one of the soldiers who had gone along as an escort, came to Amund a short time after, perhaps because he took pity on the young stag still staring into the woods waiting for his mother to return. The soldier placed a single wolf’s tooth before Amund and explained that they had been set upon by a pack of wolves, main had been injured and his mother had fallen and she would not be returning. Amund was devastated, for days he hide on the edge of Widow’s Hollow keeping out of sight. At night he would cry himself to sleep. What was left of his fawnhood innocents was killing off in the winter that followed, in which he nearly starved to death. Deep snows made it hard for the fawn to travel and he would follow behind the herd, keeping as close as he could and eating what dried forage he could find in the wake of the herd members he followed. With the onset of spring, Amund has started to put on weight again be he still shows the bones of a malnourished and underfeed fawn.
