He'll Remember It In The Afterlife

Oh, the days of watching Nostalgia Critic. I remember discovering him in high school back in 2008, and it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. And just like everyone else who watched his videos, I would always critique a movie exactly like him...loud screaming and over-analyzing every little moment. And it was because of his videos that I decided to write shitty reviews known as CRAZY CHILDHOOD for Retrojunk.com (until I lost the passion for writing - I just love to draw more).

Not much changed for a while. I watched his videos and almost everyone on his website, ThatGuyWithTheGlasses. When he decided to call it quits a while back, I was a bit down. Now what else was I gonna watch? Well, that didn't last too long....his new Demo Reel show was failing to bring in the money, so he had no choice but to bring back the Critic character. At last, the king of internet has returned to do what he did best!

Instead, all we got was a NC/Demo Reel hybrid that focuses more on painfully overlong sketches and reviewing newer movies for the sake of views and ad revenue.

I stopped watching NC cold-turkey around the beginning of last year. While the emphasis on sketches was a main issue, I just grew out of the whole "internet-critic" thing. A lot of things have happened in my personal life, so I've been watching pretty much anything I want. It honestly has helped me out through some stuff. A lot of crazy shit is happening out there in the world....I just wanna be entertained.

Of course there will always be crappy movies or shows...but whether they're crappy or not should be up to YOU. Life is too short to let some guy on the internet tell you what to watch and what not to watch. Have fun, watch a bad movie every so often. Maybe you'll like it.
