HL:: I Will Never Be Afraid Again

It took approximately three hours to get to Snowfall Inlet and then some as the duo eventually reached the ring: a large circle marked off with colored rope on the ground to stand out from the rock and snow. The ring had been cleared of snow at some point, but only more had accumulated into the ring. There was also a moderate sized crowd all bundled up to watch the fight.

“Oh man… so many people to disappoint…” Elsa mumbled as she put her stuff and Princeton near a crew member.

“Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls to the annual Fighting Competition! This is the first round we have here in Snowfall Inlet! Conditions… cold and snowy!” The announcer began as they smiled brightly.

“To my left we have the burly stone mason from Amusement Archipelago, Roop Rodros!” They announced, holding their hand out to them.

Roop flexed, grinning, and the crowd cheered before they announced: “And to my right we have the adventurer and jeweler from Amusement Archipelago, Elsa Moonbright!”

The crowd cheered for her… which reassured her a little. Maybe… just maybe she got this.

“Alright folks! Nice clean match!” The crew captain stated before stepping out of the ring, and then with a hand signal announced to them: “Fight!”

Out of the ring once… Elsa thought before she gasped, seeing Roop charge at her, attempting to use Strength to knock her right out of the ring from the start. Elsa flew up, avoiding Roop and watched him stop himself before he ran out of the ring.

“Hold still lass- you’re only prolonging the inevitable!” He spoke.

“N-No!” Elsa called out, holding her hands into fists. “I will fight! I will not let you win so easily without a fight!”

Roop snorted- he now knew this had to happen the hard way. It wasn’t hard to start lifting up boulders, position his legs just right, and begin throwing rocks as he used Rockslide.

“Hey! Woah!” Elsa spoke as she avoided the rocks being thrown at her, “Watch where you’re-”

Elsa’s sentence was cut short as her head barely missed a flung mountain rock, causing a cut on her forehead. Crying out a little her arm suffered the same fate. Some members of the crowd cheered, and some members of the crowd gasped. Going to a knee, Roops stopped throwing rocks and began to walk over to her.

“Now lass you can either walk out of this ring or I am gonna have t’ force you out of the ring.” Roops spoke to her as he got close, kneeling down a little.

Elsa was shaking slightly as she was cut… seeing this Roops sighed and proceeded to pick her up in attempt to take her out of the ring. Being this close to her opponent… she smirked.

“Sorry ya had t’ come all this way in the cold t’ only-!!” Roops began before his sentence was cut short as Elsa leaned up, shouted “PUT ME DOWN!” and attacked his arm with a solid Dragon Claw.

Roop grunted loudly, throwing Elsa towards the perimeter in attempt to throw her out… but she spread her wings and flew over Roop towards the middle of the ring, leaving him close to the edge. Roop grinned and crossed his arms as he stared his opponent down as his arm bled from the attack.

“Thought you were done lass!” Roop grinned, being impressed and ticked off at the same time… “Looks like ya got some fight in ya!”

Elsa held her hand in a fist and brought it up as she spoke through tears:

“I-I will not be cast aside as weak! I refuse to just give up to someone who is bigger and who has more muscle than me! If you want to win… you’re gonna have to fight for it real hard!”

Elsa began to shimmer as her wounds healed… she used Moonlight to sparkle with the falling snow gently swirling around her.

“Wha-” Roops was confused on how she was suddenly all better, and then turned to the crew members and shouted “T-THAT AIN’T ALLOWED!”

“Anything goes!” The crew captain announced with a grin as the crowd cheered on the rejuvenated Elsa.

Roops growled as he glanced at his bleeding arm before he stared back at Elsa who stood pristine in the falling snow. Her chest puffed up with pride and her tail swished from side to side… this time, she wouldn’t give up.

“Hold… STILL!” He bellowed, attempting to smash against her with another Strength, but was blind in rage and snow. Elsa flew up just like the first time and landed behind him and scooped up some snow. As Roops turned around he got pelted in the face with a snowball.

“Is that all you got?” Elsa taunted as she shook her head and dusted the snow dust off her hands.

The snow melted off his face as he began to heat up, and proceeded to stamp his foot on the ground and bellowed. Elsa covered herself in her wings as she was pelted with magma from Roops Eruption before flying backwards on top of a snow covered boulder.

“Go ahead! Heal yourself!” Roop shouted, but Elsa shook her head.

“No… I’m going to end this!” Elsa declared as her body tensed up before she closed her eyes and inhaled…

…before letting out a devastating Boomburst. Spectators and crew alike covered their ears as Roop was pelted with sound wave after sound wave. He covered his ears and could barely keep his eyes open and focused on Elsa. Roop’s boots began to fail him as the force from the sound waves were pushing him back on the slippery snow before finally… he fell back past the colored rope and into the snow. When this occurred, Elsa stopped and she looked at the results… cracked boulders before her… and Roop who was groaning in the snow outside the ring. Panting softly Elsa looked around before she closed her eyes…and smiled.
