▶  P E R S O N A L I T Y_

Corin is a very moody and dark individual; it is difficult for him to maintain true connections with friends and family. Though he is very capable of caring for others, he doesn’t like to demonstrate this because he feels like he is exposing himself to others in a sense. He has been incapable of maintaining healthy romantic relationships since his teen years; because his partners learn so very little about him over time it is like he is shutting them out. Corin is capable of balancing his thoughts and ideas, but he is not traditionally intelligent – it takes him a long time to learn new things and adapt to situations, he needs to apply himself with constant practice to remain good at what he does. He has a strong work ethic, but is only good at what he specialises in, he very rarely ventures outside of these skills.

At times he will fall into an emotional rut, and it becomes difficult to coax him out of his shell.  He sometimes has difficulty coping with the past and doesn’t know how to take care of himself properly; he can’t handle some of his own poignant thoughts at times. His realistic mindset may leave him unable to tell anything but the blunt truth. In this sense he is quite honest, sometimes painfully so.

Corin is a skilled sniper, his rifle was the first one he had ever killed with. At this point it feels like a part of his body, and he refuses to upgrade to newer and better models. He was at an unusually young age when he was forced to kill for the first time. He was later taken into Sigma custody and given the option to return to a regular life, but he was unable to face his family and decided to remain with Sigma.

He is an artistic individual; his dexterity allows him to draw with great precision. He finds these activities calming. He also plays baseball, and has an incredible swing; however he is not as fast a runner as he used to be, to his dismay. He does not indulge much in television, but he enjoys a large array of bands and music.  

At times he can be uncannily sharp witted, he can pick apart the words of others if they’re not careful around him.

▶  B I O _

Corin grew up in America; at the time that his parents met they were studying in university. His father dropped out, not taking his course in medicine seriously, but keeping contact with his mother. His mother would later graduate at 29 years of age. They would date one year before she graduated, approximately two years following the two got married. Corin was born on the 14^th of September, eight months after the wedding had occurred, he was a month premature and underweight. He has a sister that is ten years younger than he is who turns sixteen in December. He also has a cousin named Colette, who is related to him through his mother’s side of the family. The two have not seen each other since he was fifteen years of age.

Corin’s childhood was relatively average, though Corin spoke with a lot of foul language for his age, due to his father’s disposition to not minding his language around his son. However, his father was the same man who got him into the hobby of playing baseball in the first place; together they would also watch local games. During Corin’s youth, he had always gone through his life assuming that he would be a baseball player, and from the age of seven and beyond it is what he dedicated himself to. Corin was perhaps one of the better members of his school’s sports teams; he had a throw that would make some of the less practiced kids flinch.

He had a very small circle of friends in his grade during his time in high school, in likelihood this was because he was shy. His friends were all quite nerdy people, and he appeared to be one of the more average individuals in the group. He used to bend easily to peer pressure when he was a teen, though this was roughed out of him around the age of seventeen.

By the time that he was rescued, only 11 individuals survived the ordeal. Most of them had whittled out the past couple of days in hiding, while others actually had taken weapons that they were assigned and killed. Corin fell into the latter category, and had accumulated a total of four kills with his assigned weapon in order to stay alive. While most of the persons involved had elected to return to their homes, a few didn’t think that they could return to their families again.

Among the organisations that were involved in the operation, Sigma was one offering aid on the humanitarian front. A medical officer took a liking to Albanesi and two other individuals, and on special consideration it was decided that Sigma would take custody of the individuals who were not longer able to cope with regular life as a result of what had occurred. Though most individuals were eventually released, a few had been admitted into Sigma ranks. In particular, those that least mentally compromised and had shown promise in real life dangerous situations.

Corin realised that in order to stay with Sigma he would have to become an operative, he initially started off as local security while receiving training. Corin’s family was informed that he was being detained under a life sentence for the killing of four individuals, though this was simply to hide the fact that he was instead inducted into Sigma. This was a request from Albanesi himself, as he did not want to remain involved with his family after the aftermath of what he had done. He lacked the self-worth to convince himself that he deserved a regular family life, and since he had turned 18 he was able to govern himself legally.

During the span of time that he was training, he was also assigned a psychologist to deal with the emotional aftermath of what had occurred in his life. It is through this method that he is able to debrief and level his thoughts out, and though he does not need the services as much as he used to he regularly goes to clear his head. Later he would sign a five year contract in order to transition into SOL and SUP classes, before beginning to serve in cell B. From the age of eighteen to twenty two he dedicated himself to extensive training. Upon the completion of his training he attended missions as a sniper until receiving the rank of ACE; he now serves as an instructor for new members of the SOL class. Cell B is perhaps a little unusual in that it has the capacity to hold multiple Aces due to its large size, as it is the main Cell.

Corin is very thankful to Sigma for allowing him somewhere to stay and mature following the aftermath of the incident. He does not plan to quit once his contract expires, instead he will renew it.

The operative has been hospitalized following a lapse of consciousness for two days after the first manifestation of his ability, as the ability provided too much sensory information for the mind.

• [[Memory eater]] The ability allows the user to take a memory from something and turn it into a physical object, in a living thing that is mentally healthy and intelligent the user must mentally wrestle with the target. However, there are some conditions that make it easier for the user to utilise this ability, first of all if a person is feeling [vulnerable] or [defeated] then it will be easier for the user to overpower and take a memory. However, a memory can be taken with no effort at all if someone [consents] to the action. 
  - For example: In healthy people it’s possible to make someone admit [consent] simply by making them use a memory as tender for bet to be taken on defeat, agreement can be negotiated.
• [[Memory Engine]] Once a memory is taken, it can be replayed by the user or experienced by someone who touches it. It turns into an object symbolic or relevant to the event, and is rarely larger than the palm. Memories are not durable, and can be broken with moderate effort; once the memory is shattered it is no longer available and can only be recovered from the mind of someone who has seen a copy. In the case that no one else has viewed it, then the memory is lost forever. 
  
• [[Whispers of the heart]] His ability also allows him to extract memories associated with existing items after touching them; however, these memories are less clear and fleeting. In many cases, faces and telling details are obscured and it’s difficult to make out images and dialogue, in this way it’s possible to only gain a slight impression because it’s not as intense as a real memory. Though helpful, it’s not as clear as other facets of the same ability.
  

- The ability can be blocked by avoiding skin to object contact, and gloves block the ability from the user’s end.
- Some memories may confuse or disorient a viewer, and they can get caught up in it or believe that it happened to them if they are not careful enough.
- The user can mimic things that are experienced in memories, but it's not the same as being trained in a skill. Just because the user has a memory of someone painting an amazing portrait, it doesn't mean they'll be churning much more than a stick figure or suddenly understand colour theory. It's more like: monkey see, monkey do.
