History:
Sun-Hi is coming from a small Village near the Desert Area called Takegakure – The Village Hidden by Bamboo. Sun-Hi was born nearly blind, she only got a low vision and has problematics with colour perceptions (daltonic). She mostly see things blurred and is also sensitive against brightness.
But even she is nearly blind her other senses got even stronger with time. Like her senses of hearing and smelling also her tactile senses. Sun-Hi can't walk around in areas she do not know well without her Bamboo stick (She orientate herself with it and with sounds and shadows). She is a descendant of the Guardian Clan , but since she is blind,caused by gen defects (because of earlier genetics, that sometimes still happens in the Clan),she is an outsider of the Clan.
Her Father cheated on her Mother three years after Sun-Hi was born since her Mother wasn't as pretty, but a descendant of the Guardian Clan, as the women he cheated with. This is how Sun-hi got her step-sister Mao. But she loves her just like a real sister. Her mother committed suicide just when Mao was one year old and she found out by Ha-jun (Mao's mother) herself that her Husband had cheated on her with Ha-Jun. Since that day Ha-jun took over Sun-Hi.

History:
In History of Takegakure the Village was build by two great Oni Samurais with help from white bamboo munching bears (who turned out to be Pandas). But the Village actually was founded after the Warring States Period (戦国時代, Sengoku Jidai) by the First Kazekage of the Land of Sand, who gathered the desert-dwelling shinobi under his control with his overwhelming power. For times of war, Take researched different jutsu to give it an advantage over other villages. To fit their traditions and believes in old folk tales Take formed their First Clan called: The Samurai Guardians Clan (武士の保護者, Bushi no hogo-sha). Most of time they use the shortcut: Guardian. The Guardian are responsible for the Villages safety. This is why most talented Ninjas, who lived near the bamboo village or lived inside it, made their way into the clan. After first sucsess in War they started to interbreed the most talented ones to get hybrids of their Clan. But Most of time those breedings turned out to have genetic defects that caused blindness or other sensorial damages. This is because when the Clan and the Village was just found at the first years they conduct incest to keep the bloodline "clean". To prevent that genetic defects later the People started to inbreed with other talented Ninjas from the next Village which is in the Land of Rivers. The Village Uzushiogakure.
