The following is a list of commonly used abbreviations in Tokotas, and what they stand for. Note that this isn't a complete list - if there's any you'd like to see added please put them in the suggestions box!



General



  • ARPG - Art Role Play Game/Group
  • RNG - Random Number Generator - Used to randomly roll things like items or pups in breeding.
  • Dad/Mom -  BarkingBirds, NorthPaws, and Demonicrose, these indivduals monitor the needs of the group, and aid on many projects or issues that may arrise.
  • Managers In charge of training adminstrators for the area of the group they look over.
  • Admin - Adminstrators, indivduals who are trained how to preform one or more tasks in the group.
  • Babmin - Indivduals going through the process of being trained before they are hired to the group.  




Descriptions


  • MCA -A Tokota with the 3 extremely common genes; Marked, Collared, Accents
    • MCAG -A Tokota with the 3 extremely common genes; Marked, Collared, Accents along with Greying.
    • MCAP - A Tokota with the 3 extremely common genes; Marked, Collared, Accents along with Pangare.
  • Pied - Refering to a Tokota with Piebald gene.
  • Rareki - A Toki with a Rare Mane. Can be often be merged with mane type to create name such as Curlki, or Yetki
  • Barb - Barbary Maned Tokota
  • Halfie - A Tokota with a Half Mane
  • Shortie - A Tokota with a Short Mane
  • Nat - A Tokota with a Natural Mane
  • RM - Rare Maned Tokota, Tokotas with a mane that is not Natural, Half or Short
  • Toko - Tokota
  • Build -  Can be used when refering to if a Tokota has dwarfism, is a Dire, or Akota. There is an alternative use of the word Build, and may also refer to setup of tack, companions and traits on a Tokota.
  • Mut - Mutation such as Albino, or any other Mutation.
  • Genobomb - Tokota with 5+ markings, occasionally abbreviated GB. Similar to Traitbomb.
  • Traitbomb - A Tokota with a high number of traits. Similar to Genobomb
  • Geno/gene - Genotype of a tokota
  • Pheno- Phenotype of a tokota
  • Phys Trait - Physical Trait, abbreviated PT
  • Tacked - Refers to a tokota equipped with tack items, usually specialized.




Systems


  • Dom Activity - Dominant Activity, in which only Dominant or Alpha tokotas may partake.
  • Totem - Collectible prizes which provide powerful bonuses throughout the game. A player may only have 10 at a time
  • Tokotna- The world of Tokotas, but also the name our lovely website!
  • AC - Adoption Center - Where you can get your first Tokota for free, or donate unwanted genos.
  • RE - Random Events, these can occur in any acitvity on Tokocenter.
  • CE or Cont. E - Continuous Events - Always-open events that are judged as they fill up.
  • TCA - Tokota Cultural Association - An in-game group that keeps track of Tokotas and organizes certain events, including the Rite of Merit.
  • TP - Tribe Points - Earned by members for their respective tribes, used to unlock bonuses for that tribe.
  • DC - Design Central - The place where Tokota designs get approved.
  • WQ - Weekly Quest - A small weekly art/lit prompt with prizes.
  • OAL - Official Activitiy Listables - A reference sheet to all the listable benefits in Activities.




Hierarchy & Fertility



  • RoD - Rites of Dominance - The series of deviations needed to advance a Tokota from average status to dominant status.
  • PotA - Passage of the Alpha - The series of deviations needed to advance a Tokota from dominant status to alpha status.
  • RoF - Rites of Fertility - The series of deviations needed to allow a Tokota to breed. Often used interchangably with AoA.
  • AoA - Arms of Akna - The award given to a Tokota upon completing their Rites of Fertility. Often used interchangably with RoF.
  • RoF - Rite of Fortitude - One of the Rites of Fertility
  • RoM - Rite of Merit - One of the Rites of Fertility
  • RoA - Rite of Alliance - One of the Rites of Fertility
    • RoS - Rite of Strength - One of the Rites of Alliance. Affiliated with Pack Leaders, open to all players.
    • RoG - Rite of Grace - One of the Rites of Alliance. Affiliated with Prestige Breeders, open to all players.
    • RoL - Rite of Legend -  One of the Rites of Alliance. Affiliated with Lore Keepers, open to all players.
    • RoR - Rite of Research - One of the Rites of Alliance. Affiliated with Knowledge Seekers, open to all players.
    • RoW - Rite of Wanderlust - One of the Rites of Alliance. Affiliated with Wilderness Trackers, open to all players.
    • RoP - Rite of Prosperity- One of the Rites of Alliance. Affiliated with Token Brokers, open to all players.
  • Dom - Either referring to a dominant status Tokota, or to a dominant gene, eg PbPb would be dom piebald
  • Avg - An average status Tokota
  • Sub - A submissive status Tokota
  • HP - Hierarchy Points - The “art points” system for Tokotas
  • HU - Hierarchy Updates - Generally used in the sense of “I need someone to do the hierarchy update for my Tokota”, which involves updating the image to reflect the different lines and background.




Breeding



  • Slot -A breeding limitation, the number of slots equals the number of times you can breed a tokota
  • (Slot) Perm -Permission from the Tokota's owner to use a slot
  • Breedo/Bread -Breeding
  • PoO - Proof of Ownership - The link to the comment that proves you own a Tokota geno.
  • POTL - Pick of the Litter -  Typically means a person gets first choice of the pups of a litter.
  • SPOTL - Second Pick of the Litter - Like POTL, but refers to the second choice of the litter.




Factions



  • FB - Faction Brawl - A reoccurring event that pits both Tokotas factions against each other. The winning faction gets a bonus until the next Faction Brawl.
  • PB - Prestige Breeder - The faction focused more on breeding and eventing.
  • PL - Pack Leader - The faction focused more on the “wild” side of Tokotas.
  • LK - Lore Keeper - The faction focused on respect for the past and the spirits.
  • KS - Knowledge Seeker - The faction focused on answers and understanding.
  • WT - Wilderness Tracker - The faction focused on journeys and adventure.
  • TB - Token Broker - The faction focused on banking and industry.




Items



  • SPW - Soul Poul Water, found in Fishing, Diving, Caving or buyable on the Trading post
  • EH - Elemental Heart.
  • Sik Stone - Sikrinerk Stone, used for a special import background.
  • Mats - Materials used for Crafting, denoted by a Hammer symbol on Tokotna.
  • (Fert) Supps - Fertility Supplements, used in Breeding.
  • CC - Close Care, used in Breeding.
  • Iwa (stone) - Iwalani's Stone, used in Breeding.
  • TTT - Tiny Terror Tincture, used in Breeding.
  • DE - Dark Elixir, used in Breeding.
  • LE - Light Elixir, used in Breeding.
  • Boxolates - Box of Chocolates, used in Breeding to reduce penalties of inbreeding.
  • Lav - Lavender, used in Breeding.
  • Siv Charm - Sivoganik's Charm.
  • FGM - Forged Gold Medal
  • TT - Toko Tokens - The currency of Tokotas(Not to be confused with Trait Tokens)




Traits



  • CW - Creature Whisperer , a trait that grants an increased chance to locate companion animals.
  • Pass - Passionate, a trait used in Breeding.
  • SW - Snow White, a trait that allows your tokota to have more companions.
  • SS - Superstar,  a trait that where bonus HP is awarded to other Tokotas included in the same work as this Tokota.
  • MD - Mauja's Draw, a trait used in Breeding, pups have an increased chance of inheriting a random mutation.
  • EDB - Exemplary Dire Blood, Only applies to dire tokotas, increases slots available to the tokota.
  • AiFo - Aippaq's Fortune, an extremely rare trait that provides a bonus when breeding rare manes.
  • UT - Unique Trait, a trait that is founded by a single Tokota and exclusive to that Tokota's descendants.
  • Pop - Popular, a unique trait allowing the tokota with the trait to be rolled as a +1 to any activity on Tokocenter
  • BB - Brother Bear, a unique trait granting +2 HP bonus to any dire tokota(s) depicted with this tokota.
  • OttG - Offering to the Gods, a unique trait where you can give an offering to increase the chance while breeding for a genetoype of your choosing.
  • Fun Size - Fun Size, a unique trait granting +2 HP bonus to any tokota(s) with dwarfism depicted with this tokota.





Advertisements



  • AB - Auto Buy - If this price is matched, the sale is closed right then and there.
  • AR - Activity Rolls - often used as an alternative payment to HP.
  • FS/T - For Sale / Trade - Often shown as just FS or FT
  • ISO - In Search Of - Similar to LF, W
  • LF - Looking For - Similar to ISO, W
  • MI - Minimum Increase - The smallest amount bidding is allowed to increase by.
  • O - Offering.
  • OBO - Or Best Offer - Used when someone is putting an item or tokota up for sale and is willing to take the best offer made, be it higher or lower than asking, so long as it is the most appealing offer present.
  • OTA - Offer To Adopt - Make an offer, often used when there's no set price or currency.
  • S - Either Selling or Seeking, depending on context.
  • SB - Starting Bid - The amount bidding has to start at.
  • T/S - Trade or Sell - Willing to either trade for the item they’re getting rid of, or sell it for a flat price.
  • TT - Toko Tokens - The currency of Tokotas
  • UFT - Up for Trade - Looking to trade the item for something else, not sell it.
  • W - Wanted - Similar to LF, ISO
  • WTB - Want to Buy
  • WTS - Want to Sell
  • YTH/YCH - Your Tokota Here / Your Character Here - An opportunity to commission the artist to put your tokota in the drawing they've started.
  • h/f/e/c or h/f/e - Hunting, Fishing, Exploring, Caving - Activity images.

I’m sure I just missed it somewhere, but what do dominant, average, and submissive mean here? I mean, how do they affect your Tokota?
