The contest is now closed! Thank you to everyone, who entered!!!
EDIT (July 27, 2016): There has been some confusion with the dimensions of the submissions. Each illustration must be 8.5” x 11” (21.59 cm x 27.94 cm or 2550 pixels x 3330 pixels at 300 dpi). In addition to this sizing, there should also be a bleed margin of 3.175 mm (0.125 in. or 37.5 pixels at 300 dpi) on all sides. We hope that this info clears up the confusion.
EDIT (July 27, 2016): Please, ignore the "How to Obtain a Theme" section of Artists + Themes in regards to the contest. you do not need to send us a note to select your theme. Any of the contestants can choose whatever theme they desire, even if someone else already drew an illustration regarding that theme. If there is a situation, where multiple illustrations have the same theme, only one of them would be able to win.
EDIT (June 25, 2016): Anyone can join the contest! You don't have to be a member of the group in order to join. Also, you do not need to send us a note to select your theme. Any of the contestants can choose whatever theme they desire, even if someone else already drew an illustration regarding that theme. If there is a situation, where multiple illustrations have the same theme, only one of them would be able to win.
EDIT (June 22, 2016): Since people were asking about how to select a theme, we created a new section right above the prizes section, explaining how to select a good theme for your contest entry. We hope that this answers your previous questions!

We apologize for the long wait, but the contest is finally here!! We can't wait to see what you have in store for us!
Theme: “Gratefulness”
A daydream is “A dreamlike musing or fantasy while awake, especially of the fulfillment of wishes or hopes” (Source). Daydreams can distract us from reality, straying us from seeing the happiness in what we already have. But, sometimes, they can show us the truth and bring us to the realization that there are things that are valuable in our lives, even if they aren’t everything that we wish to obtain.
Therefore, the theme of this contest is “Gratefulness.” Show us what you are grateful for in your life through fantastical and dreamlike settings, just how daydreams paint unlikely sceneries with the imagination.
Themes should be modeled after the phrase, “Grateful for [your theme]”. As a result, the theme is pretty open in terms of variety. As long as it follows all of the guidelines, submissions will be accepted.
Deadline
Everyone will have about three (3) months to enter the competition. So, you have until 11:59 PM CDT on September 20th, 2016, to enter. Here’s a website, where you can check the current CDT: www.thetimenow.com/cdt/central…

To see a list of themes already chosen, go to the following journal entry: Artists + Themes. Here is one last piece of advice: the more specific the theme for your entry, the bigger the possibility you may win.

Unfortunate News
Hello, everyone.
After a long time of silence from us, I think that it's safe to say that this project is dead.
I messaged the project's founder today, but I realized that I will most likely not receive a response from her anytime soon, as I noticed that she hasn't anything on any social media platform since 2017.
As a result, I want to take the initiative to let all of you know what I know. It upsets me to say that I do not believe that this project will reach completion. One of our administrators left the project a while ago, and I don't know what has happened to our founder.
Of course, I could always find other people to help me finish
UPDATE! Pre-order Suggestions
I'm sure everyone's curious about what's happening at the moment.
Our cover artist is Yamio but unfortunately, she is very ill at the moment. She is slowly working on the artwork so please support her!
As soon as that is finished we will release pre-orders!
We would appreciate any suggestions for pre-orders? Bookmarks, posters etc...
Digital copies will be released for artist's final checks.
DEAR INVITED ARTISTS
Edit: Thank you for the responses! We have a cover artist now ;a;;;
Would there be anyone who is interested in doing the Cover art for our book?
We'd like to ask those who we invited to the project first for this opportunity before anyone else.
If you're interested, please let us know by either leaving a comment or noting the group!
DEAR ARTISTS
I will send notes individually to those who have not filled in this form at the end of next week.
The link is set to 'comment' so please comment in your boxes the requirements. This will help me keep track of the changes prevent any mishaps.
