Weapon Combative (Sword)
Aura Sight (described by him as seeing "odd flames" surrounding thing with souls, sort of like the soul is giving off energy. the color seems to depend on the soul in question and varies often but is never the same color as normal fire.)
Sense Magic (described by him as similar to his aura sight, the flames being a certain color only, one that is not used by his aura sight. this color is purple and often gathers near the location of the magic.)

Equipment:
Light Armor (worn under clothing)
Empty Vials x100 (used to hold blood for the much bigger and more armored versions of summons, his "big guns" as it where.)

Personality:
Kai is a bit of a hot head and definitely not a quitter. He loves to cause chaos and mayhem and since the judges say that killing is just fine, he's all too happy to do just that. he's extremely stubborn, he will not stop until he's either dead or can't move and use magic. if he can move or do magic then he's not giving up. (yes, I want everyone to kill him when they fight him, it leads to moral dilemmas and of course chaos... and I love me some chaos in story telling... -w-)


Bio:
When he joined the school, he quickly found an affinity for the shadow element and the ability to summon creatures made of the dark and bending the darkness to his will. He became very good at his craft and soon got noticed by the teachers for his control over the element and when he was asked if he wished to take part in the tourney, he was all too happy to agree. Kai knows that the healing of the school is so great that it can drag one back from the grips of death itself and so he dose not plan to hold back... if he wins he will choose to study the opposing element, Light, with a control over the light element he would finally be able to use his magic at any time, turning both the darkness and the light into his foe's worst nightmares...

Additional Info:
- his outfit is based on a fan version of the mage from homestuck's god tier classes. it also uses the blood and life colors from homestuck as well.
- he can use blood to boost the power of his summons. Giving a Limb will also majorly boost the power of a summon, and will actually summon a "named" shadow beast rather than a random one.
- named shadow beasts include Chaos, Fear, and Demise. (these three are massive and are dubbed the king, the beast, and the warrior in that order.)
- Named shadow beasts are absolutely last resorts, the cost of a limb or two is a very risky move after all...
- the shadow beasts are colored nearly black and have white eyes and mouths, I might get around to drawing some examples of them later... the named ones remain the same and never change their looks, but until I draw up a ref of the three you are free to interprate them how you wish.
- Highly interested in the concept of fear and what others fear. (because knowing it can let him know exactly what shadow beast to summon to scare the hell out of you...)
- his wings can indeed support him and let him fly, I'm just really bad at drawing wings that would be that big. >_>;
- seriously, if you want to win, prevent him from doing anything at all, no moving, no magic... otherwise he's going to keep trying to beat you even if it literally costs him an arm and a leg to do it. :I
