~ Personality ~

Anxious- Keirian can often be anxious; she overly worries about the littlest things. Unable to hold still in times where she is getting particularly anxious the mare can be fidgety. Her lips often feel the wrath of her anxiety, she chews them till they bleed when her anxiety levels are especially high.

Cautious- Due to her past gullible and naive nature she has now seen that people often try to lie to her and she has been taken advantage of one too many times. She takes longer to fully trust new faces. She is often suspicious of shifty looking characters she comes across, she keeps her guard up until she can fully determine if this new horse can be trusted or not. Only those she trusts and knows see her without her barriers.

Protective- Keirian is very protective over her loved ones, especially her daughter Faelyn. She is also very protective of her comrades. Her motherly instincts run strong in her veins, sometimes she can’t help but get overly protective if someone gets hurt.

Caring-This mare loves to care for others. She grew up caring for her mother, so its built into her. She has an overwhelming desire to help others, even if it hurts her.

Hard-working- Despite her anxiety, Keirian is a very hard-working mare. She will do whatever it takes to get her job done, and get it done right. She works hard for the things she desires to achieve.

Aggressive- Keirian has transformed herself from a meek mare to an aggressive fighter. She has pushed herself to become a feisty mare that will be able to kick butt on the battlefield. Her aggression has been fueled by her protectiveness over her loved ones.

Mature- Keirian grew up fast. She didn't have long before she needed to grow up and act like an adult. Taking care of her mother has taught her many things, and being mature is one of them.

Obsessive- Since overcoming her insomnia and poor health, Keirian has become obsessed with being the strongest and staying healthy. She will work herself into the ground each day, training her body to become better than it was the previous day.

~ History ~

Before Birth / Foalhood:

Keirian was born too a unicorn and a common horse. Gayln, her father was a former emissionary who became a traveling merchant. Dis, her mother was a healer. Her mother taught her about healing and her father taught her about the laws and ways of the herd. Keirian never had a huge group of friends when she was a child, she only really had one or two. Keirian was bullied often because she had a lisp, due to her horns that were like fangs coming out of her mouth rather than her forehead. She often stayed with her parents rather than going to play with the other kids because she was bullied so much.

Adolescent:

As Keirian grew older she learned how to talk without a lisp. When Keirian was about 13 her mother fell ill with an incurable disease, Keirian stayed home with her mother to care for her. When Keirian was 14 years old she would go to the market a few times a week to get her mother food and medicine. On one of these trips to the market, a strange unicorn approached Keirian. The stallion was lost, he looked around a lot and seemed kind of nervous, he warily approached her and asked her if she knew of a horse named Galyn. She had immediately nodded and told him that Galyn was her father. She asked him what he needed her father for and he said he needed to meet with him urgently. She immediately took him to their home to meet her father. She asked him to wait outside, As to which she called for Galyn and the stallion came to the door as where he met the stallion for the first time. Galyn asked what he needed and in response the stallion said, " I am Mason son of Jana. I have to look for my Biological father, It has lead me here" Keirian’s father froze when he heard that “your mother was Jana? How old are you child?” He said breathlessly. The stallion whose name was revealed to be Mason replied,” yes she was my mother, I am 24 years old born in the summer.” Galyn smiled at the stallion and said “son, come inside”. Keirian, her father, and Mason all went inside and Keirian left the boys to talk for a bit while she tended to her mother. Keirian fixed dinner for everyone and brought the two stallions bowls and sat down and listened to them talk. She was slightly confused to learn that this strange stallion was her long lost half brother, but she was excited at the idea of having an older brother to look up to. Mason, Keirian’s new brother, stayed with the family. He helped Keirian care for her bed-ridden mother, he got a job, he helped Keirian go to the market, and pay for things that the family needed for her mother. Keirian continued to do everything in her power to care for her mother for another 2 and a half years until she finally passed away. Keirian, her father and Mason grew closer after her passing, they mourned together and helped each other move on and continue through life. Keirian’s life was quiet most of the time, she preferred to keep to herself and help care for her father anywhere she needed to. She occasionally went out with her few friends, but most of the time she stayed home and worked around her house and with her father and she spent a lot of time with Mason. Keirian became a part time healer for anyone who needed it and couldn’t get to a professional, but she aspired to travel the lands of Hireath. When Keirian was 18 she met a handsome unicorn stallion named Bato. Bato was a few years older than, and he was a scout. Keirian fell in love as soon as she met him, she was charmed by his looks and the lies he fed her made her fall even harder. He always spoke of them running away together and having a family, and she believed every word of it. She gave him her everything; her brother wasn’t so keen on this stallion. Mason saw right threw his lies but didn’t say anything to Keirian, as it wasn’t his place. Whenever Mason and Bato were left in a room together, Mason would just glare at him and make him feel awkward. After a few months of being together, Keirian learned she was pregnant. At first she was scared, because this baby wasn’t planned and she hadn’t asked the stone circle for approval before she conceived. Keirian excitedly told Bato one day when they were alone, but he wasn’t excited like she was, he was quite the opposite. He wasn’t happy at all, he stormed out the door angrily and didn’t come back till a few days later. Keirian and Bato argued about the baby, Bato was demanding that she take a potion to get rid of it but Keirian refused. Bato gave her the choice, get rid of the baby or he leaves. Keirian chose the baby, so he left. Heartbroken, Keirian went to her brother and told him everything, while sobbing into his shoulder. Mason was livid, and had enough of the stallion. The next day Mason fought with Bato, Mason left the stallion bloodied and bruised. Mason was later given a warning to not do it again, or there would be severe consequences. Keirian and Mason went to the stone circle together to present Keirian to them and tell them of the situation. Her father stayed at home to care for her mother while they were gone. Keirian stepped up, and presented herself to the stone circle, she told them everything that happened and told them of her decision to keep the baby. Her brother supported her and told the circle of everything she has done, how she can most definitely care for the baby. After what seemed like hours the stone circle finally ruled that Keirian could keep the baby, as long as she could prove herself fit and that the baby wouldn’t be a burden to the herd.

Young Adult:

After her 19th birthday, Keirian gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Keirian’s family fell in love with her, she had curly hair with two little horns. Keirian named her Faelyn. Keirian continued to work as a part time healer, while also caring for Faelyn. She had help from her father and mason, for which she was eternally grateful. About 5 months after Faelyn was born mason had to leave the herd because he fought with Bato again. Keirian was heart broken to see him leave. When keirian was around 20 she decided to follow in her fathers footsteps and become a traveling merchant. She never traveled alone; she would always travel with her father and a raider. She also had Faelyn by her side the entire time. As Keirian grew more experienced in her job and Faelyn grew older, they ventured out on jobs on their own. Often when Keirian and Faelyn were traveling on their own for her job they would meet up with Mason in secret. Mason would also occasionally sneak in to the town.

Adult:

As Keirian grew older her health took a turn, she stopped taking care of herself and she started having serious insomnia problems. Night after night, she was unable to sleep. Her mind wouldn't let her body sleep, which caused her anxiety to skyrocket. She tried so many different herbs and different remedies to fight her insomnia, but nothing seemed to work. The exhaustion was wearing her into the ground. She tried to keep up her appearance for Faelyn, but alas, her daughter could tell. Keirian finally decided it was time to try to change things. She started to take care of herself more; she started working out everyday, and started eating better. She slowly got more energy, and each night she was getting more and more sleep gradually. She gained more muscles and the heavy bags under her eyes finally went away.
