Oh yeah that was about time wasn't it!? Solban finally did get his New reference I am pretty proud how it came out, though I fought very hard getting all the little pieces (feathers, rack, paint design, name) in the right place without making it a big mess. Maybe I will rearange it again some time, but for now I think I am happy with it. Also, this is the first time I draw a reference with traditional, I had my doubts about it, because it is so much harder to get a good clear view in traditional, but I am pretty happy how it turned out! (I need to fix it up a bit to erase some of the 'messy' points, but I will do that later. too excited, need to upload this ).

History
Solban was born from a very young naive mom (Glydam), who had just turned mature. She mated with a stag who promissed her everything, but she never saw again afterwards. Her parents thought her to be to young and stupid, and tried to force her to give up her fawn. But she wouldn't and after that her parents refused to help her with her healthy colt. She however, managed to take care of Solban rather well, she went outside the caves often to go and find herbs and food. During those times Solban played and explored the caves, which he grew to love very much. When he was one-and-a-half year old, Glydam did not return from one of her forages, Solban waited for a full moon, but she never came back. Not knowing if his mom had left him, or she had died, solban grew bitter and cold. He was still unable to take care of himself, and strayed the caves growing thinner and thinner, always wondering what had happened to Glydam, vowing he would one day find out.

After half a year, Solban was nearly dying due to starvation. At that time Eleanor, a doe with her own history who wanted to raise status in the oakfern herd, found out about the lost buckling. She searched him out and took him home, knowing a stag could help her little family raise to a higher rank. She took care of him and nursed him back to health, letting him grow up along side her daughter Leilani (Nixxily ) who was of the same age. She trained them and demanded much of her children and teaching them even more, it made solban happy, finally learning how to take care of himself. He trained his magic, speed, strength and stamina everyday. Eleanor soon learned how bitter Solban was, and saw him grow more cold everyday, but it did not matter to her, as she knew it was only for the better. After his mother left, Solban never learned to trust anyone, not even eleanor or leilani. But it was the only place he ever called home after Glydam left.

In autum y755 NA, Eleanor and her newborn son, died from a Jaguar attack, and something snaped inside Solban. Not able to show any emotions, keeping it all in, he started hating the world and everything in it. Especially the fawnlings from other herds, who had forced thim into this dangerous territory. That was the moment he also lost his trust in the god Gealach, though he still is a strong believer. He decided to take a job as guardsmen, vowing to never let harm come to an oakfern pure of blood, again.

In year 759 Solban Sired three fawns, Aegir out of Afroze, and Farfalla and Varamyr out of Leilani. Unable to understand his feelings for Leilani, and to step up for the responsibillity as a father, he fled from his emotions. Because he left Leilani, their fawns where seen as halfboods and them and Leilani where forced to leave oakfern.
Solban traveled for a long time, after which he found rest as a recluse in the Ridgeback range, where he lived almost five years. During this time, he ran into his mother Glydam (Who was apperently still alive), and felt so betrayed by her, he killed her and her son in cold blood. He never mentioned it to anybody knowing Oakfern will not like it, but he has no regrets about it. After five years of reclusement Solban went back to Oakfern.He was allowed back into the herd and his old job as guard by King Pascal, which made him respect Pascal very much, but has been closly watched ever since. Once back in the herd, Solban started training with younger, less experienced fawnling, mostly so he will feel less guilty for leaving his own fawns fatherless.
