Jared Ref (2016)

Oh god, I feel like I literally -just- updated Jared's ref but UH I made another one. Again. Oops. Very slight changes design-wise, mostly just an adjustment on his tongue and tattoo along with a few color changes! 
Decided to go with a slightly different style for this ref, but I think it turned out nice? c,; I decided to mix things up a bit background-wise and used a texture, yeehaw.

Misc fun facts: 

~Has an extremely thick American Southern accent. He's literally the perfect stereotype of a hick and he loves it.

~Absolutely loves playing the harmonica, and is fully aware of how annoying it is. The annoyance of others only encourages him more. 

~He doesn't necessarily need to eat, but it helps power the magic which keeps him "alive"

~He thinks he's a lot cooler than he really is tbh.

~He tends to supplement his income by grafting together various necrotic monsters and selling them to unscrupulous clientele. ...This might come back to bite him at some point, but he's never been one to plan for the future.

~He smells like clove cigarettes and cold earth. 

~He adores fast food, and if given the opportunity, will eat it incessantly. The greasier the better, in his mind.

~He tends to fly almost everywhere, though when he has the chance, he'll drive around in his beloved rust-bucket of a truck.

~His original left hand was cut off shortly before he died so when he resurrected himself, he made do with a random replacement. Sometimes the fact that it's human and therefore has 4 fingers and a thumb as opposed to the 3 fingers on his harpy hand screws him up.

~He was murdered during his service in the military, and to this day is absolutely terrified of guns. Even waterguns, if pointed at him, will send him into a complete panic attack.

~His eyes glow in the dark and tend to dull as his magic supply wanes. 

~His blood is pretty much gray sludge. It is disgusting, 0/10 would not touch.

~Has a phd in mathematics and is deceptively intelligent with that sort of thing.

~He currently owns an interdimensional bar and loves coming up with various creative alcoholic beverages to serve any patron that may stroll through his many doors.

~His back is entirely covered in feathers, from neck to the back of his legs, it's a solid sheet of poofy orange fluff. Unfortunately, this means moulting season is pretty much agony because it's just a pile of itch for a good week.

~He drank an entire bottle of extra virgin olive oil once. He says it was for a dare but it's far more likely he just decided to do it because he could, though he'd never admit he liked it. Strangely, the bottle his boyfriend keeps in his 
kitchen for cooking often seems to be running empty more often than usual as well...

~His phone ring tone is Cotton Eyed Joe, and he is completely shameless. 

~He's an intense patriot. He loves the USA and he will not hesitate to proclaim his love for it if he's in the mood. He served in the military rather reluctantly and he really prefers not to talk about it.
