History: As young stags, Amber and his twin brother Umber inherited the title of King of the Fawnlings. Plagued by bloodthirsty carnivores, the twins forged an alliance with the birds and rodents of the forest. Together the three factions were able to combine their different magics to build a magnificent treetop kingdom out of reach of predators. Amber and Umber, granted long life by their mastery of exotic magics, far outlived the leaders of the rodents and the birds. They saw their power accumulate as the years went on. Slipping alligiences led the brothers to tighten their grip on the residents of the kingdom, leading to what now amounts to a dictatorship. Today few fawnlings ever see their leaders, but they treat their kings' orders as divine and unquestionable.
