Description

Here's the ninth profile in my original characters encyclopedia project. This one features one of the lead protagonists in my never-before-revealed Olympian Squadron team.

For more information about the Olympian Squadron concept and backstory, check out the description accompanying the first piece in this series (seen here: fav.me/dagg9pf).

As mentioned previously, the designs for the Squadron are meant to reference Grecian armour and also reflect a contemporary superhero aesthetic. For the most part, Dea Beta's design matches Dea Alpha's. However, her signature colour is white (accented with a light pink) and is outfitted with a different skirt. She also wears gloves beneath her bracers, carries a quiver around her waist with a belt and has a different skirt and head piece.

To help me with deciding the roster for the Olympian Squadron, I asked my watchers to rank Zeus' Olympian children. The most popular characters were therefore selected as members of this five-piece team. These votes also determined the rank of each character and the posting order. Artemis landed second and this earned her the position of second-in-command, as well as the designation of Dea Beta (roughly, Beta Goddess). With all that said, I'd like to thank those of you that voted on the poll. Daphne's enhanced speed and agility really play off of Artemis's position while her animal empathy and healing add something unique to her character. I relate to being anti social and to others casting me off as the lone wolf making me create a place where I could just be myself like she's done here. I really like her appreciation for animals and her respect overall for nature itself. It does not seem like she gets to express herself verbally a lot due to her quiet  demure exterior as you put it, it sounds like because of that she could possibly have a moment in the story where she snaps emotionally ? 

Hair- I am reminded of the spiky layered styles from the Final Fantasy series, it frames her face beautifully. 

Face- The tiara gives her a regal look and I really like how the hair falls over it. Daphne herself is very pretty, she looks like a girl who'd love nature which obviously fits her character. 

Suit- The details ( seams, trimming, layering) on the suit is very nice and  her color scheme is absolutely stunning however considering her position on the team and the fact that she has enhanced speed and agility don't you think the skirt is slightly impractical or no ?

Arms and Legs- The silver cuffs  with trimming over the fingerless gloves is a nice mix between soft and strong, her boots go with the rest of the look very well.

Weapons- Her white bow is gorgeous oh my, and I appreciate the detailing on her quiver and how it's connected. 

Overall- I very much really like Daphne both design wise and personality wise, she really speaks to me and is relatable. Good job sir, I wish more people would take a look at your characters because they in my humble opinion are amazing !
