Description

drew this at 2 am and it was supposed to be a small sketch but I kind of finished it all at once ha
I forgot how much I love pencils. Honestly the best
Her eyes are off because I drew them first, but since I decided to finish it I had to draw her face around her already drawn eyes

Also, gold leaf is my religion.

Had to turn the brightness down so she could be seen :c

Hello! This is for ProjectComment projectcomment.deviantart.com

For a sketch, it's quite effective. The girl is cute, although clearly a child, so that's all I can say about her in that regard. You've gotten the proportions on her face exceptionally well. I like the lips and eyes the most. They give her sort of a Deer in the Headlights look. I wonder what she's looking at, if anything. Also, good job on the nose and hair. They do not look cartoonish at all.

As always, when it comes to these things, I judge by three things: Angles, depth, and perception. The angles on the nose, lips, and clothing where the neck are, along with the subtle touches on the chin look as realistic as you can get, giving her the appearance of a young teenager. As far as depth goes, this is not at all an amateur work. It doesn't look two dimensional. This is truly realistic because of the shading, layers, and weight distributed throughout the body. I really like the cheeks and crevice in between the nose and lips. They make the sketch seem to leap out at me. And as for perception, you've drawn it so well that rather than a two dimensional sketch, I feel like I'm looking at a black and white photograph instead of a drawing.

To be a little bit critical, yes, this is a lolita image, as you mentioned in the tagline, and lolita is not an interest I hold. However... I don't really see that here. This looks more like a young teenager, or just a regular sketch of some girl. If your intention was to go for a lolita look, then I think it kind of fell on its face.

I really like this work. For that reason, and because I personally feel this doesn't match the lolita requirements, I can add this to my List. Welcome aboard!
