Details
Personality
Gael has a very soft and friendly character. Mostly optimistic and always polite. Always a faint smile on his lips. His character changes a bit after he flees Oakfern. More serious and careful. Often deep in thoughts but he still has his faint smile. Emotional breakdowns from time to time. Doesn't trust easily anymore. In need of true friendship and love (not only mate but new family).

Appearance
Gael started out with a dark coat color but with time it got lighter and lighter. His coat lost all color and turned into a beautiful silverish grey. As beautiful as the stars and the moon itself. Gael was moon marked. But Gael is quite big for an Oakfern. His father Anrog was pretty small, his mother Lauriel was also one of the more petite does within the herd. But somehow this combination lead to an big colt and later stag.
He has a beautiful set of curved horns with a few prongs leading away from it. His mane and tail are silverish, long and full and his eyes dark brown, almost black. His eyes are a bit larger than normal eyes and he can see better at night than others.

History:
The small but strong guard Anrog who was in his prime took Lauriel, a moon marked shaman, as mate after years of knowing each other. They were excited because the doe was carrying their firstborn. Both hoped for a colt so he could join his father as guard one day. With each day Lauriel's belly got rounder and bigger but at the end it was almost too big. Anrog and Lauriel were both pretty short Oakferns. So the doe would sneak out of the tunnel on her search for herbs that would help her during her pregnacy. Lauriel was careful but the walls have eyes especially in Oakfern.

On a stormy night a colt was born. The mother had a few problems delivering the bit oversized colt but a nurse was on her side. Anrog had called her out of precaution and his decision was the right one. With help of the nurse Gale was born into the darkness of the Oakfern tunnels. Both parents were overjoyed with him being a colt. Lauriel cared about him like he was Gaelach himself. The colt got pampered all the way. His father would visit his mate and son as soon as he got time. Anrog played with his son a lot and they bonded deeply. Gale loved his father and mother deeply. But due to being a mother Lauriel started to question the fawn sacrifices and would stop to visit them. This behavior wasn't unnoticed.

The time went on and Gale grew larger with every day. He had been larger than the other fawns and some older fawnlings would mistaken him for a young guard at the age of four. Anrog and Lauriel became worried about the growth of their son. They talked to a few shamans and herbalists but no one had an answer for them. Or a solution how to stop it. Rumors started to rise that Lauriel was an Oathbreaker and has mated with a Blackwood. A tiny doe with such a large son, unbelievable! And she stopped visiting the fawn sacrifies, how dare she? Her mate tried to calm the rumors and for some time nothing was heard about the little family.

At the age of three Gale became a big brother. Anrog and Lauriel had decided to have another fawn and this time it was a filly named Arwen. Gale loved his little sister dearly. Both would play together but Arwen seemed to be a 'normal' sized fawn. But with her Gale had never the feeling to be different or odd. Together they were the most precious their parents possessed.

When Gale turned five it was time to stand before the Oracle. His magic was strong but he was not chosen to be a shaman. He joined his father as guard not only because he wanted to but also to protect him. The colt had reached a critical height for his age but was still growing. Soon he would be as tall as his father and he was only five. Anrog worried about the rumors and also about the fact that Gale wouldn't be able to walk the tunnels as soon as he would get his antlers. The dark stag had curled horns but his mate carried a beautiful set of small antlers. So everything was possible.

As Gale turned seven he was taller than his parents and taller than most other Oakfern he knew. Anrog trained his son as best as he could to be prepared for anything. Rumors started to raise again that both Lauriel and her son were Oathbreakers. Fawnlings stepped forward and said they had seen Lauriel sneak out of the tunnels during her pregnancy. Gale was seen as a spawn of a Blackwood and slowly pushed out of the society. His father snatched cave entries to guard for him so he could be as far away from the herd as possible without leaving them. But a tragedy was on it's way and it would shatter this small family.

An order was sent out to get hold of Lauriel for mating with a Blackwood and thereforth being an Oathbreaker. Anrog was nearby and heard everything. The stag rushed home as fast as he could to get his mate. Together they tried to flee the caves and ran towards the entrance Gale was guarding. Arwen was with an old herbalist doe to get training before stepping in front of the Oracle. The young filly had no idea what was going on or what was happening to her family.

Anrog and Lauriel ran through the dark tunnels but in all the hurry the doe tripped and fell. Her left black ankle was broken but the doe still tired to walk. Anrog tried his best to help her but soon they heard hooves behind them. Anrog would never have left his mate for life at any cost. He knew she was innocent but both of their lives and the live of their son was in great danger. Lauriel was the one who sent her mate away. She wanted him and her son to be safe. With a heavy heart Anrog followed her wish and left his love behind to protect the thing she loved the most: their son.

The guards caught Lauriel and she was sentenced to death. Arwen was only punished and would become a herbalist as she grew. Anrog and Gale would never know about that.

Anrog reached the cave entrance in time but there was no time to explain everything to Gale. After a short version of what had happened both stags fled the scene into the mountains. Gale's heart was broken but at least his father was at his side. They didn't stop for two days, only to drink and eat some nibbles of grass, until they reached Silverthorne. Both were tired and exhausted from their escape but also from their great loss. Anrog was sure his mate wasn't alive anymore and he had no idea what would happen to his precious daughter. Gale could see it in the stags eyes and his heart was full with grief. What should they do now? How should they survive? Only Gaelach knew.

The years passed and Gale only grew a little bit more. He was now bigger than his father but he grew never larger than the tallest Oakfern that lived in the caves. His coat turned even more white with every passing day. Gale saw it as a gift from his mother who was moon marked as well. He would always carry her and his sister in his heart as well as Gaelach who must had a plan for the two stags. Even if their herd had chased them away Gale and Anrog never lost their faith in their god and in their religion. Gale was almost a fully grown stag with a beautiful set of curved horns like his father. Together they stayed near the border to Oakfern on the Silverthrone side looking out for both Oakfern and Silverthorne guards. Even a Blackwood warrior crossed their path once. They realized they could manage to survive together. And so they did until Gaelach would show them their path again.
