: Alrighty then, we’ve gathered enough votes and research! The combatants are now ready to battle it out! It’s time to end this debate… Once and for all!
: It’s time to murder Apex’s waifus in a Death Battle! *giggle*

This is a researched written fight! I would recommend reading the prelude first to get a grasp at both characters' abilities and statistics!
Ocean City of Armoroad
Beautiful blue waves brush against the marine city of Armoroad. Various ships sail in and out of the pristine city. One can see many people in this flourishing city surrounded by the big blue ocean. Multiple explorers check in and out of the inn, explorers visiting the Bistro bar, new applicants entering the Explorer’s guild, and ships sailing near the port.
One ship in particular housed two of the heroes who saved Etria and the world.
“Wow, you’re right, Armoroad is so beautiful!” A girl with short blonde hair exclaimed in delight. Her eyes light up as she looks around. Her companion smiles at her.
“I’m glad you like it, Ricky,” The young man with a massive spear said, grinning as the two enter the city proper.
The entire city was filled with people and explorers of all kinds. Troubadours, Gunners, Arbalists, Nightcrawlers, Wanderers and even Dragoons. It was a lively city, and everyone seemed to have a fun time, whether they were looking for new glory in hopes of conquering the labyrinth or just to admire the amazing azure skies and seas.
The two explorers Frederica "Ricky" Irving and the legendary Highlander known as Lindis Farne explore the marine city. Ricky stares at all the fresh fish markets and other stalls as she smiles warmly. Noticing that she is distracted too much, Lindis tugs her arm.
“Ricky, don’t forget that we’re here to inquire about this city’s Yggdrasil tree.”
Nodding, Ricky suddenly puts on a serious face.
“You’re right. Let’s meet up with the Senatus.”

Halidom of Ylisse, Grasslands near Ylisstol
And lastly, she was sent to this nearby village because of reports of a bandit attack. Alone. Without even having to take a bath yet. Now, Lucina wasn’t really the type to care about appearances, but not taking a bath just pushes it. And while she could certainly take on a band of no-good bandits on her own, it wouldn’t hurt to send back up, right?
Sighing in annoyance, the royal princess of Ylisse rushes towards the village as smoke rises from the village, indicating an attack. While annoyed, it just wasn’t in her nature to ignore the cries of help from innocent people. She just decided that this was for the greater good… Even if her day started out pretty badly.
But as she continued to eye the burning village, she noticed a bright pillar of light that suddenly appeared on the village, and she stopped.
“What was that light? Could it be… a time portal? Or an Outrealm portal? No, impossible…” Feeling that the situation could become worse, she immediately resumed her journey to the village, all while thinking what could possibly be in store for her.

Burning Village near Ylisstol
“W-what the? Where are we? Lindis-”
Ricky stops abruptly as she realizes that the Highlander Lindis isn’t with her.
“H-huh? Where is…?” Before Ricky could start talking, her honed senses enabled her to catch a crossbow bolt that was flying straight at her, stopping an arrow that nearly claimed her head in just the nick of time. She looks at the assailant, who licks his lips in delight.
“Keke! Looks like another pretty lady for me to display! Kekekeke!” The dark-skinned man armed with a crossbow snickered. He readies another crossbow bolt, and snaps his fingers.
“Boys! We’ve got a fresh looking one ripe fer’ picking! She’ll be perfect as a slave… Kekeke!” Ricky’s eyes widen as multiple bandits suddenly appear beside the dark-skinned man, who the gunner presumed was the leader of the ruffians. Still confused about everything, Ricky swallowed her worry and decided to be civil.
She holds up her arms into the air, and walked slowly towards the bandits. The bandits hold up their weapons in anticipation.
“I do not desire conflict! I just want to know where I am!” Ricky declared. While all she wanted to do right is find out what the heck happened to her after touching that Geomagnetic Pole on the Yggdrasil Labyrinth of Armoroad, the millennium girl knew she was in trouble.
“Ooooh, a foreigner? Even better! Kekeke! She’ll be worth a lot of gold!” The dark skinned man cackled as his long crimson red hair swayed left and right while he laughed in a crazed, complete with posing rather ridiculously.
“Get her, boys!”
And with that declaration, the rest of the bandits rushed in. They came in crashing like a tidal wave, brandishing their weapons with the intent to kill. In instinct, Ricky picked up her pistols, reloaded them, and shot two bandits in a fraction of the time it takes for a human eye to blink.
In an instant, the two unfortunate bandits dropped down, with blood flowing down from their legs as they screamed in pain. Naturally, this surprised the leader of the bandits, who was now in awe of the blonde gunner.
“Wahahaha! Amazing, you incapacitated two of my men in an instant! This is gonna be fun~” The crossbow-wielding bandit leader said in awe in a demented manner.
“You disgust me. People like you who kill others just for their benefit… You killed all the poor people in this village, didn’t you?” Ricky questioned with frightening strictness that bordered on sinister. She calmly walks up to the rest of the bandits, shooting them in their legs as they tried to ambush her.
One by one, the bandits fell to the ground with their blood staining the ground red and their screams of pain drowning the burning village as their cries of agony mixed with the flaming embers in a haunting melody.
“S-she’s crazy strong! Bricks, we gotta scram!” A random bandit yelled in fear. He shook all over, but the leader of bandit who is named Bricks just stabbed the man on the throat with an arrow, killing him.
“I don’t need coward on my team. What I take, I get! To answer your question, yeah I did kill these miserable fools!” Bricks emphasized his point by grabbing a deceased woman’s head, then he rips off the lips with his bare teeth. He then proceeds to swallow the body part.
“Y-you monster! You’re truly disgusting!” Ricky shouted in anger as she glared daggers at Bricks. She couldn’t believe that such scum could possibly exist! While she needed to get back to Lindis, she remembered by heart what he always said…
“You’re such a feisty chick that I’ll do anything to bed you… After I’m done taking your life, that is!” Bricks then readied his crossbow, and aimed it at Ricky’s unprotected head.
“Last straw, mister,” Ricky said as she reloaded her pistols. “I have a mission to do, but a certain someone told me something about justice.” The short blonde girl twirled her pistols in her hands like a baton, and then pointed them at Bricks.
"I'll stop you here and now!”

Later…
Lucina finally made into the village. Sadly, it was almost completely torn down. Houses were on fire, bodies were piled up, and the entire village reeked of death.
“These bandits… Even after Grima is defeated, how could such evil exist!?” Lucina then walked further into the village, intent on finding out who kill so many people.
But then, she heard a gunshot. While for the medieval princess the sound was unfamiliar, she took it as a warning and unsheathed her rapier. She cautiously tiptoed into the scene, where she saw something horrible.
Amongst the flames and cinders, there was a young, blonde girl holding a gun. By her feet was a corpse of a recently deceased person, who was actually Bricks, the leader of the bandits. She also heard moans of pain coming from some armed men as they clutched their legs in an attempt to lessen the intense pain.
Normally, Lucina would consider the woman to be a brave hero. She after all, just took out a bandit gang. However, said woman also looked rather suspicious, most especially with the two unfamiliar weapons that the woman held. And she even saw a pillar of light come down earlier from the village, she so wasn’t willing to take any chances.
Taking a deep breath, Lucina stepped in and pointed her blade at Ricky.

“Oh thank goodness! I need help, miss. You see, I was just wondering where am I. All I remember was touching a Geomagnetic Pole and then I was transported to another place. Then I was attacked by these bandits…” Ricky explains. Lucina eyes this new person with suspicion and curiosity. She wondered what in the world could a Geomagnetic Pole possibly be.
She didn’t have time to ask herself that though and opted for another question instead.
“You. Are you a foreigner or something?” Lucina asks, still pointing her rapier at the gunner.
“Well I guess you could say that. I live in Jap- I mean I live in Etria, but I came from Armoroad just a while ago. I would like to know what this country is, and find a way back to Armoroad!”
The gunner knew this lady seemed on edge, so she tried her best to talk casually in order to calm her down. This wasn’t working though.
“Etria? Armoroad? You’re just spouting nonsense. Never have I ever heard of those lands before, not even in history books.” Lucina then readied her blade and went assumed a fighting stance. “How can I be sure you’re not just a bandit pretending to be innocent?”
Currently aghast that this girl would accuse her of being one of those bandits, the girl from the past defended herself.
“I’m telling the truth! I have no idea where-”
Ricky was abruptly cut off as she jumped backwards, evading Lucina’s rapier by the breadth of a hair.
“You are too skilled to be an ordinary villager, so you must be a skilled mercenary. I am sorry, but I must take you in for questioning. The Halidom of Ylisse doesn’t tolerate mindless violence, and neither do I.” Ricky holds up her hands in defeat, not wanting to fight the first sensible person she just met on alien soil.
“Please, I really don’t know what’s going on! I just suddenly ended up here! I don’t want to fight you!”
“Then give yourself up. The questioning won’t take long.” A sweat dropped from Ricky’s forehead. She appreciates being escorted into this “Ylisse” place, but she didn’t have enough time to deal with questionings. She needed to get back to her mission now.
Sighing in disbelief, Ricky picks up her guns from her holster and points them at Lucina. “Look, I have a mission to get back to. I don’t want to fight you, but you are leaving me with no other choice other than to fight back!”
“A mission? That makes you even more suspicious!” Whatever agenda this enigmatic woman has, Lucina knew it couldn’t be anything good. For the sake of the new future she has made and saved, she will do everything to protect the country.
“Get ready!” Lucina yells, rushing head first with her rapier in hand.

Lucina started her assault with a downward slash, but the 1000 year old gunner parried the quick swipe with an equally quick counter by holding up her pistols in a crossed position. Lucina then raised her sword and swung upward this time, intent on slashing up Ricky’s face.
The gunner dodges with grace, and loads her pistols with Volt Rounds. Her pistols begin to crackle in electricity, and it surges with bright energy.
“Let’s try… this!!” She fired her two pistols, and it hit Lucina right on her torso. The princess of Ylisse cried out in pain as she fell back and hit a house, destroying the wall in the process. Slowly, Lucina picked herself up from her prone position and shakily got up.
Lucina noted that this woman uses elemental magic. But she wondered how she even used them in the first place. In her knowledge, tomes are needed to make use of elemental magic, and it came from her weird looking weapon.
But she knew that she didn’t have time to waste. She has to take down this gunner!
Smashing the wall of the house, Lucina managed to get the jump on Ricky. The princess quickly lands multiple blows; first she started with a downward slash, then followed up with a sword combo.
Then, she finished her combo with her skill Shield Breaker, and stabbed Ricky right in her torso. Ricky flew backwards due to the force of the attack, but she easily gained her momentum back and landed on a tree branch.
In a manner similar to a grasshopper, Ricky takes off like a rocket. She soars through the burning village, and then aims her pistols at Lucina.
“How about this!” Ricky yells, firing a torrent of bullets. Lucina barely had time to react as a storm of lead strike at her. She dashes away while deflecting some of the bullets, but the princess is still hurt by some of the other bullets due to the Ricochet.
“What is that weapon of yours? It looks like a miniature crossbow with tiny arrows!” Lucina demands, clutching her wounds in an attempt to lessen the pain. Ricky lands behind her, and points her pistols at her.
“Please, I don’t want to fight! I just need some help,” Ricky pleads, still pointing her pistols at the princess just in case she might attack. However, Lucina instead launches another flurry of sword swipes, each slash causing winds to tear up the nearby grass due to the immense speed.The gunner blocked the hits and opted for a tactical retreat.
She leapt up again, and this time she loaded her pistols with Fire Rounds, and went guns blazing on her opponent.
Knowing from previous experience that taking a direct hit from those elemental bullets wasn’t the best idea, Lucina decided to run around, evading the flaming bullets. When Ricky was reloading her bullets again, Lucina seized the chance and opted to strike again.
She raced through like an arrow, heading straight for Ricky with her rapier facing the gunner. Having just reloaded her firearms, the gunner couldn’t catch her breath as Lucina manages to strike her again in her torso. However, Ricky just barely blocked the hit by trapping the rapier in between her two pistols.
For a few seconds, the two time-hopping women fought in a test of strength. However, Lucina eventually wins and slashes upward as she jumped high into the air, using Dolphin Jump just at the right time.
Ricky landed on the ground with her two feet; damaged but relatively fine. Lucina on the other hand started to wonder how such a frail looking woman could be so durable.
“Look, this is getting nowhere,” Ricky reasoned, still trying to appeal to the reasonable side to the Ylissean princess. However, it is apparent that Lucina is determined to take the gunner from the past down.
The Ylissean princess then decides to rush in and go in close and comfortable before the gunner could fire even a single bullet.
With each sword stab, Ricky countered it with grace using her pistols as a means to block the rapier. She tried to get in some close shots on Lucina, but the princess nimbly dodges them and jumps backward.
Instead of Lucina going in for the kill, this time Ricky dashes forward and loads up her guns with Ice Rounds.
Just before the gunner fired her pistols, Lucina assumed a Counter Stance and easily deflected the ice bullet towards her.
The gunner was still staggered from the hit, Lucina then managed to land a full combo on her futuristic foe, further slicing up Ricky.
After the combo, Lucina finishes up with a powerful Shield Breaker, knocking back Ricky a few feet as she hits a tree.
“It seems that this battle is over,” Lucina declared, as she sheathes her rapier. However, Ricky gets back up somehow. She then points her gun at her temple, and then pulls the trigger as she heals herself with her Medic Bullet. Her wounds start closing up, and in no time flat her stamina is back to normal. Lucina rubs her eyes for a bit, wondering if her opponent just healed herself. She pushed the thought away, and instead opted to change her weapon.
“I guess a regular old rapier isn’t enough for the likes of you,” Lucina stated as she switches her rapier for her signature weapon, the Parallel Falchion.
“Behold, the blade that can seal away Grima. Now is a perfect chance to surrender, for this blade will surely end you.” Of course, the gunner couldn’t back down now. She needed to get back as soon as possible, and this woman certainly isn’t making things easier for her.
“If you really don’t want to talk it out, then fine! I'll have to knock some sense into you!” The gunner yelled in defiance as her patience finally wore off. She points her guns at Lucina again and begins firing bullet after bullet.
Lucina continued to leap and jump as she did everything in her power to avoid all the bullets. She realizes that her opponent relies on ranged combat, so she needed to get in close and personal.
Having already devised a plan in just a few seconds, the princess continues her mad dash towards the gunner.
Despite the dozens of bullets coming her way, Lucina didn’t flinch even as they pierced her skin. Ricky tried to fire more, but the princess just wouldn’t stay down. She yelled defiantly, and she smiled as she activated her skill Aether.
“Aether!!”
The first strike, which covered her blade in orange light, sliced through the gunner as she felt her life get sapped away. Then Lucina followed with another strike, this time covering her blade in blue light as she pierced through Ricky, damaging the gunner as her opponent finally drew blood.
Lucina noticed that most of her bullet wounds began healing. On the other hand, Ricky felt like her stamina had been absorbed. She stood in determination, not giving up just yet.
“W-what… What was that?” Ricky managed to ask. Lucina held up her Falchion and glared at her adversary.
“It’s a skill passed down from my father. That is all you need to know!” Shouted Lucina as she didn’t even allow Ricky a timeout. She needed to end this swiftly.
Lucina quickly went for the gunner’s neck, with her Falchion ready to claim her head. But Ricky dodged the attack, dashing to her left. She then pulled the trigger of her pistols, and the bullets soar towards Lucina.
Acting quick, the princess immediately deflected the bullets with her sword. She then jumped up high into the air, and stabbed the ground upon landing. Ricky evaded the attack at the last second. However, the gunner didn’t anticipate the kick that Lucina delivered.
The millennium girl flew backwards due to the sheer power of the powerful princess. She hit the tree with a lot of force, causing some apples to fall on the blondie’s head.
“You’re pretty strong… Guess I should have expected that from a swordswoman such as yourself…” Ricky commented, and Lucina just picked up her sword from the ground. She then pointed the Falchion at her again.
“Give up now. I already know your strategy,” Lucina stated, her eyes bearing into the gunner. After a few seconds of staring at each other, Lucina ran towards her with her sword at the ready.
But Ricky wasn’t without her tricks. She decided that it was time to stop holding back.
“Act Quick!” The blonde gunner shouted out of the blue, and then she suddenly vanished from Lucina’s eyesight. The blue haired princess stopped in her tracks, and desperately looked around for her opponent.
More bullets flew from various directions, hitting Lucina a multitude of times. Lucina deflected some with her Falchion, but the bullets are far too many for her to block all at once.
Once the bullets stopped, Lucina immediately used her Falchion’s healing properties to restore her own health. Now, she was ready to take the gunner on again.
However, she was too late. Suddenly appearing from the bushes behind her, Ricky already had her guns at Point Blank.
“Take this! Burst Shot!!”
All of what Lucina could perceive was a blast of pure energy that engulfed her entire being. It had properties of flame, ice and electricity all in one bullet. From her position, the blast caused an explosion that blew away a chunk of the ground, ripping the grass and plants as it left a steamy pile of ash.
Realizing what she just did, Ricky looked down at her feet with regret.
“I… I didn’t want to do this…”
Still feeling guilty, Ricky slowly turned away, her Point Blank skill wearing off. But then, the gunner heard the familiar sound of metal. She turned around, and there she was. Lucina stands firm, battered but still very much alive and just as determined to win.
“I won’t give up just yet!!” Lucina yelled defiantly. She pointed her Falchion to the sky, and she was engulfed in blue light. Her burn wounds and other injuries began to heal, and in no time at all she was ready to fight back.
“So, you can heal yourself, huh?” Ricky said, and is internally relieved that she didn’t kill her blue-haired opponent. She then pointed her pistol at her temple, ready to shoot herself.
“Two can play at that game!” The gunner’s pistol was imbued with healing powers. She pulled the trigger, and the gunner felt her health and vitality increase. She has just shot herself with another Medic Bullet.
Lucina’s eyes widened as she just witnessed her opponent heal herself just as easily as she can heal herself.The princess immediately remembered that she also did the same a while ago, but that time she thought nothing of it. Realizing that this fight may be harder than expected, the Ylissean princess closed her eyes and concentrated, thinking hard on what she should do next.
Then, an idea pops out of her head. Lucina immediately opens her small satchel, and in it she picks up a small, strange golden thing. Obviously, Ricky is confused at this.
“Um, what’s that?” Ricky asked, as she eyes the golden orb with curiosity.
“This? It’s called a “Master Seal”,” Lucina explained simply. She tossed it into the air, and suddenly, a light showers down on Lucina, as she is filled with power.
The village is then covered with a bright radiance, and a wave of powerful aura surged from the golden ball. Then, the powerful aura transferred into Lucina, and she suddenly changed into a new, more powerful form.
Rubbing her eyes, Ricky stared at Lucina in shock and awe as the princess has gained a new look. She now had new armor, covering her arms, legs and some of her torso.
As she swung her left arm down, a shield in the shape of a butterfly mask now adorned her left wrist. She sheathed her Falchion, and suddenly a spear materialized into her hand. In her other hand she now held a new weapon due to her newfound power; the spear Luna.
Swirling the spear like a baton, she spun around and then pointed it at Ricky, startling her a little.
Lucina has now become a Great Lord. She could feel her stats boost to high new levels, and she felt better than ever.
The princess’s normally stoic face changed as her lips curled into a confident smirk. With this new power, she felt that she can defeat her opponent once and for all.
“Alright. It’s time to tip the scales!!”
Due to the class change of Lucina, the blue haired princess’s speed has grown considerably. In a blink of an eye, Lucina disappeared from Ricky’s eyesight. Then, a flurry spear stabs blitzed the gunner as she desperately tried to defend herself. Despite being under a storm of fierce spear strikes, the millennium girl smirked.
“A spear… Just like him, I see!”
A glint shone in Ricky’s eyes. Then, she turned around and grabbed the spear below the actual spearhead just inches away before it could have pierced her eye. This of course, shocked Lucina.
“H-how? I should be much faster now…”
The gunner then aimed at Lucina, and shot her head on with a powerful Charged Shot. Upon impact, Lucina felt immense pressure as she flew back from the force of the gun shot. But with Lucina’s new stats, she found herself able to take the shot with more ease than before. She stood up almost immediately, ready for a counterattack.
Ricky reloads her pistols again, and begins to flood the village with multiple bullets. Lucina easily dodged and deflected them with her spear, spinning it around so it acted like a shield. Slowly but surely, Lucina was nearing her opponent.
This time, Ricky decided to go for another attack. She charged her guns, and at the same time Lucina charged straight at her. Then, the gunner fired a massive Charged Fire bullet, and it radiated with fiery power.
But this time, Lucina was ready. She immediately got into a Counter stance, and when the bullet hit her, she pierced through it with her spear and sent Ricky flying skyward.
Ricky crashed into a burning house, hitting multiple concrete walls and wooden objects. Some of the flames burned her, and she winced in pain. She then fired some Ice Rounds to stop the burning and froze the house.
She stood up, albeit shakily.
“How did she suddenly become much more powerful? It must be that strange golden orb… I have to take much more drastic measures…” Ricky thought, as she felt her stamina drop a little more.
But then, the wall behind her suddenly burst open, revealing Lucina. She punted the wall with her bare hands, and stepped into the frozen house with a glare on her face. She was ready to defeat Ricky once and for all.
Yet, Ricky still chose to fight on. She leapt back a good distance from her blue haired opponent, and decided to perform an Arm Snipe.
Only for the princess to dodge it rather easily.

“But you’re the one who started this!” Ricky yelled. She was getting annoyed, and she really misses Lindis. She wanted to go back-no, she needed to go back. Yet this woman… She just won’t listen to her!
So Ricky loaded her gun with Fire Rounds again, and aimed at Lucina. Lucina, being very combat smart and perceptive, immediately put her guard up.
However, Ricky instead blasted her Fire Rounds at the frozen walls, and the flames melted the ice. This created a small wave of water, washing away Lucina.
She ended up getting washed up out of the house and back into the ruined village.
But then, a storm of bullets-more numerous than ever-flew towards Lucina with incredible speed. Lucina grits her teeth as she barely dodges them and deflects the other with her shield and spear.
As the princess was distracted with the multitude of bullets, Ricky leapt forward, and brought her two pistols together.
“Now! Take this!!!”
With the cooldown of using Burst Shot now over, Ricky fired another one, and the giant ball of energy exploded upon contact.
This time, a large crater was formed, destroying most of the houses in the village. Ricky lands, and flinched at the destruction she has just caused.
“Is it really worth it… To take a life just to return to a mission to save the world?”
However, Ricky felt a chill creep her back, despite the flames of the village maintaining a high temperature. She looked behind her, and saw Lucina, without a single scratch.
“That was too close. Taking two of those blasts wouldn’t be helpful in my case.” Ricky stares at her opponent in shock.

“Of course. Now, since you clearly don’t want to surrender…”

With the combined power of the defense halving Luna and the new stat boosts of the Great Lord class, Ricky actually felt a great deal of pain. She ended up kneeling in front of her opponent, with some blood trickling down from her lips.
“W-why…? Why must we fight? I… I don’t get it!” Ricky slowly stands up, but her pain is noticeable. She wobbles as she tries to stay upright, but manages to. “I swear, I didn’t do any of this…”
Upon seeing this, the Ylissean princess felt bad for her. In all of her heart, she wanted to believe that this lady is good at heart. But current circumstances force her to arrest and interrogate this mysterious woman. Too many times has she been fooled in the past, and she wasn’t willing to let it happen again.

“It’s… Frederica. Frederica Irving.”
“Then, Frederica… I am princess Lucina of Ylisse. I have come from the future to save this world. I have since succeeded, but I do not know if the Grimleal still sent their forces to this new future I have worked so hard saving.” Lucina plants her spear forcefully on the ground, stabbing it.
“As such, I need to know how you got here. I saw that blinding light earlier.” She then crossed her arms. “My instincts tell me you are much more than what meets the eye…”
The gunner gulps down her worry. She quickly shoots herself with a Medic Bullet, and her wounds heal up.
“Future? Lucina, I also came here to save the future. From the past.” Lucina’s eyes widen at that. So she was a woman from the past who traveled to the present to save the future? It sounded preposterous… But so was her own story.
“And I have a mission. A mission to eliminate the calamity. The Yggdrasil Cores. And if you intend to oppose me…” Ricky grabbed a strange, rainbow colored stone from her bag.
“Then I’ll have no choice but to defeat you, here and now!!”
From her hand, the rainbow stone known as a Grimoire Stone emitted a bright light of pure energy. Then, Ricky unequipped her pistols in favor for a long spear. She whipped her spear around, and readied her weapon.
“I’ll be borrowing your power… Highlander!”
Lucina looks at her opponent’s new form with surprise. She now wielded a spear, and can now engage in close quarters combat more efficiently.
“Well, looks like you want a spear fight. Very well, Frederica. Let us fight again!” She picked up her spear and rushed towards Ricky. Ricky did the same thing, and wielded her spear with such skill, that it is like she has Spear Mastery. Using the skills of a Highlander, she engages her opponent in a spear fight.
Both women tried to pierce each other rapidly with their respective spears. Ricky is on the offensive, and she launches multiple strikes at her opponent.
Lucina deflects the spear strikes with rapid precision, and each time the spears meet they create a clanging sound of metal. Both women fire off unbelievable spear attacks with immense speed as their sweat drip from their body, pushing themselves to the limit.
Finally, Ricky manages to graze the shoulder armor of Lucina, throwing her off balance. She then readied a Delayed Charge, and leapt back a bit from Lucina.
Regaining her footing, Lucina’s spear emitted light again as Luna activates. She noticed that her weapon is almost done for, but she decided to use it one last time.
“Hope will never die!!” Lucina yelled as she makes a beeline towards Ricky, with her spear Luna ready to skewer her.
However, Ricky readies another Grimoire Stone skill. The stone glows, and in turn her spears emits a soft light.
Just as Lucina is about to strike her down, Ricky activates Cross Charge in conjunction with her Delayed Charge, causing the two powerful spear skills to pierce each other.
Only one of the spears survive the collision, and Luna breaks into multiple pieces due to the sheer power of Ricky's Cross Charge and Delayed Charge combo.
Now without her spear, Lucina unsheathed her Falchion. Ricky on the other hand, switched back to her pistols.
Ricky then runs around the village, firing multiple bullets again in an attempt to overwhelm Lucina. The princess manages to deflect them again, and shield herself from the multiple bullets.
However, Lucina knew she had to get out of the way. Just when Ricky was about fire a Charged Volt, she slashes upward in a crescent fashion, dodging the bullets and the electrical shot. Ricky then aimed her pistols at Lucina as she was falling, and tried to shoot her down.
However, Lucina slices the bullets and crashes onto to Ricky. She then grabs the smaller girl by the neck and kicks her. Ricky crashes into the village’s outer wall, and bursts out of it. Lucina immediately follows the gunner.
Ricky stood up again, and dusted her clothes. This time, Ricky had a determined look on her face. She was ready to take on anything the princess could possibly throw at her. Lucina took this as a challenge, and her Falchion surged with energy.
Lucina smiled again. She needed a boost after all.
“Aether!!” Lucina yells again as she manages to activate her skills again. She rushes towards Ricky, her blade ready to slice the gunner.
However, what Lucina did not know was that Ricky already prepared to shoot her at Point Blank.
Lucina sliced through Ricky like butter, absorbing her health. Ricky winces as she felt the pain course through her body. Then, Lucina jumped back as she prepared to halve Ricky’s defenses and damage her considerably. However, just as Lucina was inches away from performing the second attack on Ricky…
“Charged Shot!!!”
The large ball of pure energy collided straight into the blue haired princess, sending her flying towards the plains. Lucina felt pain coursing through her as she prayed for something soft to cushion her crash.
Only for her to crash into a massive boulder.
A large crash can heard from the plains, and Ricky immediately ran to where her opponent was. There, she saw Lucina badly beaten and battered. She lay on the crater, silent. Ricky closed her eyes in frustration.
“Why… First was the extermination of the forest folk… Now this!? Was this really necessary?”
Ricky couldn’t help but pay respect for her fallen foe. She was indeed a worthy opponent, and a respectable woman. Ricky just stood there, and offered her defeated foe a moment of silence.
“I am truly sorry… Princess Lucina.”
However, little did she know that Lucina was still alive.
The gunner dodges with grace, and loads her pistols with Volt Rounds. Her pistols begin to crackle in electricity, and it surges with bright energy.
“Let’s try… this!!” She fired her two pistols, and it hit Lucina right on her torso. The princess of Ylisse cried out in pain as she fell back and hit a house, destroying the wall in the process. Slowly, Lucina picked herself up from her prone position and shakily got up.
Lucina noted that this woman uses elemental magic. But she wondered how she even used them in the first place. In her knowledge, tomes are needed to make use of elemental magic, and it came from her weird looking weapon.
But she knew that she didn’t have time to waste. She has to take down this gunner!
Smashing the wall of the house, Lucina managed to get the jump on Ricky. The princess quickly lands multiple blows; first she started with a downward slash, then followed up with a sword combo.
Then, she finished her combo with her skill Shield Breaker, and stabbed Ricky right in her torso. Ricky flew backwards due to the force of the attack, but she easily gained her momentum back and landed on a tree branch.
In a manner similar to a grasshopper, Ricky takes off like a rocket. She soars through the burning village, and then aims her pistols at Lucina.
“How about this!” Ricky yells, firing a torrent of bullets. Lucina barely had time to react as a storm of lead strike at her. She dashes away while deflecting some of the bullets, but the princess is still hurt by some of the other bullets due to the Ricochet.
“What is that weapon of yours? It looks like a miniature crossbow with tiny arrows!” Lucina demands, clutching her wounds in an attempt to lessen the pain. Ricky lands behind her, and points her pistols at her.
“Please, I don’t want to fight! I just need some help,” Ricky pleads, still pointing her pistols at the princess just in case she might attack. However, Lucina instead launches another flurry of sword swipes, each slash causing winds to tear up the nearby grass due to the immense speed.The gunner blocked the hits and opted for a tactical retreat.
She leapt up again, and this time she loaded her pistols with Fire Rounds, and went guns blazing on her opponent.
Knowing from previous experience that taking a direct hit from those elemental bullets wasn’t the best idea, Lucina decided to run around, evading the flaming bullets. When Ricky was reloading her bullets again, Lucina seized the chance and opted to strike again.
She raced through like an arrow, heading straight for Ricky with her rapier facing the gunner. Having just reloaded her firearms, the gunner couldn’t catch her breath as Lucina manages to strike her again in her torso. However, Ricky just barely blocked the hit by trapping the rapier in between her two pistols.
For a few seconds, the two time-hopping women fought in a test of strength. However, Lucina eventually wins and slashes upward as she jumped high into the air, using Dolphin Jump just at the right time.
Ricky landed on the ground with her two feet; damaged but relatively fine. Lucina on the other hand started to wonder how such a frail looking woman could be so durable.
“Look, this is getting nowhere,” Ricky reasoned, still trying to appeal to the reasonable side to the Ylissean princess. However, it is apparent that Lucina is determined to take the gunner from the past down.
The Ylissean princess then decides to rush in and go in close and comfortable before the gunner could fire even a single bullet.
With each sword stab, Ricky countered it with grace using her pistols as a means to block the rapier. She tried to get in some close shots on Lucina, but the princess nimbly dodges them and jumps backward.
Instead of Lucina going in for the kill, this time Ricky dashes forward and loads up her guns with Ice Rounds.
Just before the gunner fired her pistols, Lucina assumed a Counter Stance and easily deflected the ice bullet towards her.
The gunner was still staggered from the hit, Lucina then managed to land a full combo on her futuristic foe, further slicing up Ricky.
After the combo, Lucina finishes up with a powerful Shield Breaker, knocking back Ricky a few feet as she hits a tree.
“It seems that this battle is over,” Lucina declared, as she sheathes her rapier. However, Ricky gets back up somehow. She then points her gun at her temple, and then pulls the trigger as she heals herself with her Medic Bullet. Her wounds start closing up, and in no time flat her stamina is back to normal. Lucina rubs her eyes for a bit, wondering if her opponent just healed herself. She pushed the thought away, and instead opted to change her weapon.
“I guess a regular old rapier isn’t enough for the likes of you,” Lucina stated as she switches her rapier for her signature weapon, the Parallel Falchion.
“Behold, the blade that can seal away Grima. Now is a perfect chance to surrender, for this blade will surely end you.” Of course, the gunner couldn’t back down now. She needed to get back as soon as possible, and this woman certainly isn’t making things easier for her.
“If you really don’t want to talk it out, then fine! I'll have to knock some sense into you!” The gunner yelled in defiance as her patience finally wore off. She points her guns at Lucina again and begins firing bullet after bullet.
Lucina continued to leap and jump as she did everything in her power to avoid all the bullets. She realizes that her opponent relies on ranged combat, so she needed to get in close and personal.
Having already devised a plan in just a few seconds, the princess continues her mad dash towards the gunner.

“Aether!!”

Lucina noticed that most of her bullet wounds began healing. On the other hand, Ricky felt like her stamina had been absorbed. She stood in determination, not giving up just yet.
“W-what… What was that?” Ricky managed to ask. Lucina held up her Falchion and glared at her adversary.
“It’s a skill passed down from my father. That is all you need to know!” Shouted Lucina as she didn’t even allow Ricky a timeout. She needed to end this swiftly.
Lucina quickly went for the gunner’s neck, with her Falchion ready to claim her head. But Ricky dodged the attack, dashing to her left. She then pulled the trigger of her pistols, and the bullets soar towards Lucina.

“You’re pretty strong… Guess I should have expected that from a swordswoman such as yourself…” Ricky commented, and Lucina just picked up her sword from the ground. She then pointed the Falchion at her again.
“Give up now. I already know your strategy,” Lucina stated, her eyes bearing into the gunner. After a few seconds of staring at each other, Lucina ran towards her with her sword at the ready.
But Ricky wasn’t without her tricks. She decided that it was time to stop holding back.
“Act Quick!” The blonde gunner shouted out of the blue, and then she suddenly vanished from Lucina’s eyesight. The blue haired princess stopped in her tracks, and desperately looked around for her opponent.
More bullets flew from various directions, hitting Lucina a multitude of times. Lucina deflected some with her Falchion, but the bullets are far too many for her to block all at once.
Once the bullets stopped, Lucina immediately used her Falchion’s healing properties to restore her own health. Now, she was ready to take the gunner on again.
However, she was too late. Suddenly appearing from the bushes behind her, Ricky already had her guns at Point Blank.
“Take this! Burst Shot!!”

“I won’t give up just yet!!” Lucina yelled defiantly. She pointed her Falchion to the sky, and she was engulfed in blue light. Her burn wounds and other injuries began to heal, and in no time at all she was ready to fight back.
“So, you can heal yourself, huh?” Ricky said, and is internally relieved that she didn’t kill her blue-haired opponent. She then pointed her pistol at her temple, ready to shoot herself.
“Two can play at that game!” The gunner’s pistol was imbued with healing powers. She pulled the trigger, and the gunner felt her health and vitality increase. She has just shot herself with another Medic Bullet.
Lucina’s eyes widened as she just witnessed her opponent heal herself just as easily as she can heal herself.The princess immediately remembered that she also did the same a while ago, but that time she thought nothing of it. Realizing that this fight may be harder than expected, the Ylissean princess closed her eyes and concentrated, thinking hard on what she should do next.
Then, an idea pops out of her head. Lucina immediately opens her small satchel, and in it she picks up a small, strange golden thing. Obviously, Ricky is confused at this.
“Um, what’s that?” Ricky asked, as she eyes the golden orb with curiosity.
“This? It’s called a “Master Seal”,” Lucina explained simply. She tossed it into the air, and suddenly, a light showers down on Lucina, as she is filled with power.
The village is then covered with a bright radiance, and a wave of powerful aura surged from the golden ball. Then, the powerful aura transferred into Lucina, and she suddenly changed into a new, more powerful form.
Rubbing her eyes, Ricky stared at Lucina in shock and awe as the princess has gained a new look. She now had new armor, covering her arms, legs and some of her torso.
As she swung her left arm down, a shield in the shape of a butterfly mask now adorned her left wrist. She sheathed her Falchion, and suddenly a spear materialized into her hand. In her other hand she now held a new weapon due to her newfound power; the spear Luna.
Swirling the spear like a baton, she spun around and then pointed it at Ricky, startling her a little.
Lucina has now become a Great Lord. She could feel her stats boost to high new levels, and she felt better than ever.
The princess’s normally stoic face changed as her lips curled into a confident smirk. With this new power, she felt that she can defeat her opponent once and for all.
“Alright. It’s time to tip the scales!!”

“How did she suddenly become much more powerful? It must be that strange golden orb… I have to take much more drastic measures…” Ricky thought, as she felt her stamina drop a little more.

Ricky stood up again, and dusted her clothes. This time, Ricky had a determined look on her face. She was ready to take on anything the princess could possibly throw at her. Lucina took this as a challenge, and her Falchion surged with energy.
Lucina smiled again. She needed a boost after all.
“Aether!!” Lucina yells again as she manages to activate her skills again. She rushes towards Ricky, her blade ready to slice the gunner.
However, what Lucina did not know was that Ricky already prepared to shoot her at Point Blank.
Lucina sliced through Ricky like butter, absorbing her health. Ricky winces as she felt the pain course through her body. Then, Lucina jumped back as she prepared to halve Ricky’s defenses and damage her considerably. However, just as Lucina was inches away from performing the second attack on Ricky…
“Charged Shot!!!”
The large ball of pure energy collided straight into the blue haired princess, sending her flying towards the plains. Lucina felt pain coursing through her as she prayed for something soft to cushion her crash.
Only for her to crash into a massive boulder.
A large crash can heard from the plains, and Ricky immediately ran to where her opponent was. There, she saw Lucina badly beaten and battered. She lay on the crater, silent. Ricky closed her eyes in frustration.
“Why… First was the extermination of the forest folk… Now this!? Was this really necessary?”
Ricky couldn’t help but pay respect for her fallen foe. She was indeed a worthy opponent, and a respectable woman. Ricky just stood there, and offered her defeated foe a moment of silence.
“I am truly sorry… Princess Lucina.”
However, little did she know that Lucina was still alive.

“Where… Where am I…?” Lucina thought as she felt like she was floating in a void. She could nothing, and the void seemed infinite.
Then she remembered. She was fighting Frederica, and she was hit by an incredibly powerful blast. Could she be… dead?
She looked around, but there was nothing. She was alone. She… has failed.
“Father… Have I failed you yet again…? Even in this peaceful future…?”
Before she knew it, tears started to fall. She felt sad, and alone. She hugged herself, and brought her legs closer to herself. She felt… hopeless…
But, a light suddenly dispelled the void she was in. And in that light, she saw…

“Lucina!!! You’ve got a lot of nerve losing like that! You can better than that! You’re the strongest in this army!!” Kjelle, the heavily armored lady, yelled.
“Sis!! Show that girl the true power of Falchion! You’re practically a legendary hero!” Cynthia yelled as well, trying her best to inspire Lucina.
“I know you Lucina. And the Lucina I know… Never stops hoping,” Gerome said with a small smile on his lips.
“You can do it!!” All of the future children shouted together.
“My daughter…” Lucina suddenly stood up as she heard that voice.
“F-father!?” Lucina asked, as she looked around for her father. Then, she saw him.
“Lucina… You are the reason why we are all alive. If it weren’t for you, Grima would have killed us all…” A tear managed to fall from Lucina’s eye, the same eye that held the Brand of the Exalt.
“Father…”
“Lucina. Always remember that the future is not written. It is us who write our own fate. Our own destiny,” Robin said, as he slowly approached the Ylissean princess.
“E-everyone…” Lucina could only muster a soft cry, as she was overwhelmed by all of her loved ones.
“Lucina… You can do it. Rise, and wake your blade! You can do it!” Chrom exclaimed, a determined smile on his face.
“You can do it Lucina!!” Cheered everyone else in the Shepherds.

The blue haired princess stared at the oncoming bullet rain and did not flinch for even a split second. Instead, she sliced the ones that were about to hit her, and she jumped up. Now falling, Ricky noticed that the future princess was jumping towards her. Acting quick, she immediately charged another Charged Shot, putting her two pistols together again as she prepared to unleash a powerful blast.
But Lucina knew what she was up to. As she neared the gunner, she put up a Counter stance just exactly before Ricky fired her guns. The impact was so strong, Lucina felt like countering such a powerful move would prove impossible. However, she eventually managed to do so, and in close range. It hit Ricky directly in her face, and it resulted in a massive explosion that enveloped both time hoppers.
The two powerful women fell back to the earth like meteors. Both got up almost immediately, with their new power boost still on.
Launching like a rocket, Lucina bounded towards Ricky with her Falchion’s tip pointed towards her in immense speed. Ricky easily reacted to it and blocked the hit with one of her guns and counterattacked with some Fire Rounds.
Somehow managing to tank the hit, Lucina proceeds to relentlessly slash at Ricky multiple times. The gunner manages to block all hits with just her pistols, her limbs moving at such speeds unthinkable for a normal human.
She then jumped backwards, keeping a distance from Lucina. Ricky knew Lucina would again try to take the fight in close range, so she readied a new skill. This time, she will put a stop to her.
On the other hand, Lucina decided to rush in again, not wanting to get too far away from her primarily long ranged opponent. But from experience in the fight earlier, she knew that Ricky is still dangerous up close. So she readied her shield as she charged in with a defiant roar.
She could still feel all of her loved ones spirits within her. She was filled with determination.
But before Lucina could get in too close, Ricky fired a single bullet at an area where she would get crippled instantly.
Her legs. One Leg Snipe, and the Ylissean Princess suddenly felt much slower than before. She couldn’t move her legs so much as an inch, and she was effectively halted.
“Now, it is truly over. It’s time to end this once and for all, Lucina,” Ricky declared. With her Force almost wearing off, she knew what she had to do. She brought her two pistol up and aimed them at Lucina.
“No. I will not fall here… Everyone is waiting back at home… A home where the new future is bright. A home… WHERE EVERYONE SMILES!!”

The powerful blast of immense electricity met with the legendary blade Exalted Falchion. Both struggled for dominance, their mere clash tearing apart the plains and cracking a nearby mountain. The collision of the ultimate seemed to last forever, with Lucina's blade pushing against Frederica's most powerful bullet.
Until finally, a massive explosion erupted. The explosion was so large that calling the explosion the size of a continent would be an understatement. Trees were flattened and burned, the plains was turned into a vast wasteland and the echoes of the two women's roars resounded throughout the continent. A bright, shining blaze covered the plains like a miniature solar flare.
After what felt like an eternity, the light from the explosion died down, and it revealed the destruction caused by the clash of time hoppers. In the aftermath, a massive trench formed, extending for miles.

And finally... there stood Frederica Irving, her clothes almost completely incinerated, leaving just her upper clothes and half of the lower half of her huge skirt burnt off. She fell to her knees in exhaustion as she tried to stay conscious. Then, she stood up again, and slowly walked to the princess of Ylisse.
Lucina on the other hand was barely standing, using the Falchion she planted on the ground as support so she could stand up. Her armor from her Great Lord class change was gone, her Falchion no longer emitted a reddish glow and the Fire Emblem was completely shattered; having disappeared into dust.
But despite all odds, Lucina was spared. However, she could not even say a single word before she fell to the ground in exhaustion beside the Falchion.
Ricky stood above her fallen opponent. She could tell she was still breathing, but she needed to be healed sooner or later.
“Should I… finish her off? Mercy kill her or leave her here to die? My bullets can't heal wounds this grievous... W-what… what would he do…?”
Ricky fell to her knees again, crying and sobbing. But then, a hand tapped her shoulder, and she immediately looked at the hand. And eventually, at the person beside her.
“Ricky… You’re safe.”
She couldn’t believe it. Lindis Farne was here!
“Y-you came!” Ricky exclaimed, and she immediately tackled the Highlander in a tight hug. She then realized what she did, and backed off with a luminescent blush on her face.
“I’m truly glad you’re safe, but I'll save the explanations for later,” Lindis said, then he looked at Lucina with concern. “We have to get her to a clinic before its too late…”
Ricky nodded in response. Lindis then picks her up princess style, and then he smiled at Ricky.
“You did the right thing in not killing her. True justice for all, indeed.”
The blonde gunner smiled, and she stood up with a renewed vigor. “Yeah. I’ll have to apologize to Lucina after she wakes up though. Where should we go, though?”

Amazing fight. I don't know if you know or not, but I'm the one who made the calc with the Storm Emperor and High Lagaard. I have to say that I wasn't expecting it to be used for a Death Battle. Regardless, this fight was awesome.
Also, you're definitely right in saying that Etrian Odyssey is underrated. Well, if enough people play it, then I've got no doubt that it'll become extremely popular. I guess it's up to people like us to expose other people to it then. In the meantime, hype for EOV!
By the way, I've got my own Etrian Death Battle, with Bertrand facing off against Reyn from Xenoblade Chronicles. I couldn't think of my own hosts though, so I just used Wiz and Boomstick. Either way, you should check it out: deathbattlefanon.wikia.com/wik….
