Here it is, my finished sculpting project! Not the last one though, I'm in for far more suffering-- but to be quite frank, I'm proud of this little sculpture!

It's been years since I actually played around with clay. Like ... 7 years. We did have a mini project before this one, so I got reacquainted with clay and sculpting by making a sea shell (hahaha, it was awful XD) ... but this is when I really got to enjoy the entire process again! Seven years ago, I loved playing with clay, playing god, essentially, and I still have the panther I made back then! I kept that little baby, because when it should have collapsed under its weight (I was clueless to the limitations with clay), my panther remained upright and proud. It may have sagged a little. A little. But he stands, to this day he stands!

We have to come up with 7 different renditions of a single pose, so for example ... realism, croquis, silhouette ... and so far I have all three of those, but honestly, my croquis is so friggin ugly (our teacher said that's the beauty of a croquis sculpture) ... and my silhouette is still drying in our studio XD so maybe later I'll show it to you guys~ unless it's ugly as fuck. It could be. I usually end up leaving my sculpting class SO frustrated. Sculpting takes so much energy and thought ... it feels good doing it, but it also drains me XD

Anyways, here's the promised pose reference I used for this sculpture:fav.me/d2s9ilp

Im always impressed when someone has the ability to sculpt. It is a talent I could never do. I failed horribly when I tried. Great job, it looks amazing
