I finally got around to getting my 24-Hour Comic back! Now, I didn't want to fill up my gallery with these and crowd everyone's message centers, so I ingeniously came up with a solution. I threw together a preview image, and I'll just link y'all to all the individual pages in here.

Got that? The comic pages are right down here! :below:

Just remember while you're looking at this that I did 24 pages in 24 hours. That means one page per hour. The drawing and inking are all very rushed and thus very messy. I think it's okay considering the time restraints, but just keep in mind that this is soooo not my best stuff here. And I have done absolutely no editing on these pages you're about to see, they're all raw right off the scanner. I just did Auto Contrast and resized it. I didn't do any cleaning up or nuffin. What you see is what I drew in 24 hours.

Page 01- Alligators and high-voltage fences! And Sev's design was pretty tough because I'm bad enough at drawing kids, but he couldn't be scrawny, he had to have a little muscle to him, cause he's a finely-tuned ninja dude.

Page 02- Sev's dad's hand is all kinds of funky in the last panel...

Page 03- Literally gets kicked out of his own house. Poor kid...

Page 04- Rye is symbolic of my buddy ~ Blazeknight92, whose nickname is Rai. And Rye rhymes with Rai. ^__^

Page 05- Itroducing Tanto, complete with cliche ponytail and cross-shaped scar on his cheek. He was originally going to have black pants, but my sharpies were starting to die already, so I decided that he looked better with white pants. ^_^

Page 06- I seriously did not have this pumpkin guy planned out. He was originally going to be like the Black Knight on Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but he turned into a guy with a pumpkin head.

Page 07- ...and a pink dress... That was very out of the blue. All of this was thought up on the spot basically, and this just kind of... happened.

Page 08- Action poses are laaame, but that's only because of the time limit. I was hurrying through all of it.

Page 09- The whole pointing at the speech bubble thing... No clue where that came from. Seriously. Same with the "Just Add Human" pot. I have no idea what I was thinking at the moment.

Page 10- Now this part was kinda planned... Originally, the girl's captors were these little Potato-Head guys, but they kind of evolved into evil pikachus. I drew half of these pikachus by car-headlight-light when the electricity went out for about 20 minutes.

Page 11- It was craziness trying to draw an army of pikachus so many times. I nearly lost my sanity.

Page 12- Poor Sev... These ninja kids just love to get into tight spots, don't they? Crazy, crazy ninja kids.

Page 13- Arguably the best part of the whole comic.

Page 14- ...and then there were none. I enjoyed killing off all the pikachus. It made me happy. ^___^

Page 15- That last panel was just one of those things that popped into my head at 2 in the morning... It made sense at the time.

Page 16- Seven Samurai! These guys were just random out-of-nowhere-ness too. And I couldn't make it easy on myself, either. I had to draw another big group of people for several pages. First an army of pikachus, and now seven samurai...

Page 17- This page may look lazy, but drawing all those samurai over and over again was really time-consuming. I dunno if it's clear or not, but the samurai are all running off the cliff. And yes, they are that stupid.

Page 18- Enter the dark and creepy masked man! Notice how backgrounds seem to have disappeared by now...

Page 19- This is where I ran out of time and couldn't finish inking everything. So you get very messy pencil sketchies. ^___^ And the action poses are terrible, but, again, time rush...

Page 20- Same as above, ultra-lame action poses. Poor Tanto...

Page 21- The masked dude is kneeling down in that first panel, but you can't tell. That's why he's on the same level as Sev. And gasp! Return of the pikachu! Without an ear! ^___^

Page 22- World's laziest page right here, folks. I try to justify myself by saying it's a big explosion and that's allowed, but so far the only person I've managed to convince is myself.

Page 23- Poor Sev is all beat up... And notice how his hair is suddenly all pretty again in the last panel, and his burns and scratches are all gone. I didn't even realize I did that until after I got it back today. ^^;

Page 24- And the most important lesson to be learned here is... Next time I do 24-Hour Comics Day, bring more sharpies.

Overall, it's a funny and pointless and halfway-decently-drawn comic. Towards the end, I got lazy and left out backgrounds and stopped hatching and got really really messy with the inking in an attempt to finish... I didn't finish. But I had a lot of fun. ^___^ And I think it was a really cool challenge to try, and I'll definitely be doing it again next year.

If you wanna find out more, you can check out the 24-Hour Comics Day site, and you can also listen to an interview that was done at Kingdom Comics, where I went for the event. I'm on there at the very end, but I sound like a 10-year-old. Meeeh...

I didn't/don't see really any slopiness on them. At very least, it's better than anything I could ever put up. :favorite:
