Appearance: Straight dark brown hair with lighter tips, reaches her shoulder blades. She usually pulls it up into a loose ponytail when she's working. Dark brown eyes. Sandy complexion, smooth and tawny. European mink tail, the underside of her nose is black.
Has a tiny star tattoo just above her right collarbone. Her hands are very scarred, though her most notable scar goes through her lower chest on the right side (can be seen front and back).
She dresses professionally while wearing adaptive clothing tailored for wheelchair users (cropped jackets, convenient zippers, pants higher in back), favoring darker autumn colors and modern print. She also loves scarves and cute socks.

Personality:
Charismatic (+) | Strategist (+) | Pragmatic (+/-) | Cynical (+/-) | Proud (-) | Manipulative (-)

- Knows how to use her words, she doesn't need to sweet talk to sway a vote
- She's an effective planner with an eye for details, she's usually a few steps ahead of people
- Honestly believes that the end can justify the means in just about any situation (ie: whether she stole it from a baby or not, she has candy)
- Believes that most people are motivated by self-interest; she's very distrustful of human sincerity and integrity. Anybody that treats her like a victim can kiss her ass
- Thinks rather highly of herself and is independent to a fault, rarely trusting others to do a job right. The only exception is Quinn, who she occasionally allows to help her with day-to-day tasks
- She's a master of deception, able to control others to her own advantage. Blatant threats have a time and a place, yes, but she prefers to make people dig their own graves and make them think it was their idea

History:
Ainur was the child of two very ambitious scientists working for iTex. She flourished in private school, hoping someday she could be as smart as her parents. She got to visit their workplace occasionally, so she was desensitized to the inhumane experimentation from a very young age. She made friends with a few mutants, but most couldn't speak and they died quickly anyway. The staff reassured her that their immune systems were weak, that these children had to die for the greater good of science. Fascinated by the ones that survived, she agreed to keep their secret. She felt special in the fact that they trusted and confided in her, though it was only the tip of the iceburg.
The evening of a school play, her father was paged and stepped away for a few minutes. As Ainur looked out into the crowd for her father, he was being told that his wife had died in a horrible lab accident. After that, he just wasn't the same. He tried to be there for his daughter to help her grieve, but he became even more desperate to rise in rank within the lab and began spending less time at home. He was convinced that he could correct his wife's mistakes, that he'd discover a breakthrough. He talked a big talk and his superiors grew impatient, insisting that he make good on his promise.
The death toll of the test subjects was higher than ever, scientists were disappearing, and the demand for new children to experiment on was at the forefront of everybody's mind. Ainur's father made the difficult decision to test on his child, hoping the results would give him the answers he needed without iTex having to intervene. If this worked, both of them would be better off and he'd be able to show his success to iTex. Ainur was afraid at first, remembering the mutant children dying, but she trusted her father's judgement. The final thing that pushed her over the edge was his suggestion that maybe, just maybe, she might be able to walk someday.
He started with a harmless strain of DNA, European mink, but there were few promising results. The other scientists quickly found out after he unsuccessfully tried to steal more DNA, reporting him. Rather than becoming angry, his superiors pressured him into continuing experimentation in the familiar environment of Ainur's home - otherwise they'd do it in a far more unpleasant manner. He agreed and used the supplies they sent home with him, gradually inducing her bone power. After a near-death experience of impaling herself and almost bleeding to death, he transferred her to the facility for her own safety.
She received much better treatment than most of the other subjects, able to continue her education and hone her power. She became something of a pet to the original and newly recruited scientists, they were quick to underestimate her and it disgusted her. As the years passed, she learned to adapt and manipulate, to survive in her precarious position within the labs. Most people were on a level playing field with other people, but she knew how to succeed with what others perceived as a disadvantage. She also became begrudgingly fond of a mutant named Quinn - though if asked, she described her as a trusted colleague and not a friend.
There came a point when she realized her father wasn't as smart as she once thought he was, that he was just a sad lonely man stuck in the past. She had outgrown him, so when the opportunity to transfer facilities came up, she took it in an instant. After the official leader jumped ship a few years later, she fully expected that she would be appointed the new head of the facility - but when a complete stranger stepped in to take over, she snapped. After everything she had been through, after all the work she had put into this company...they still refused to acknowledge her.
As the new leader, May, prepared to stage an attack on the nearby mutant safe haven to exhibit her new power, Ainur set her plan in motion. While May toyed with the emotions of her enemy and childhood friend, the principal of the 'Academy', Dash Capello - Ainur had her competition eliminated. In the following chaos, she humbly stepped up as leader. There have been rumors that she was behind May's death, but where's the proof?
