BOLD
Physically and mentally, she prides herself on being as ‘unbreakable’ as she possibly can be, eliminating any trace of fear or hesitance in her behavior is a must. Not the loud or rowdy type, she has a way of talking and a way of presenting her voice that makes her sound one hundred percent sure. Standing her ground in frightening situations and doing her best to put on a strong facade if she is always a must. She likes to consider herself to be quite brave and a little bit stubborn, but in a good way, she doesn’t budge easily.

CONSIDERATE
Not one to push others outside of their comfort zones if that isn’t what they want, Annie tries her best to cater her behavior towards whoever she’s interacting with, doing her best to not offend if there is no reason to do so. Willing to give everyone a chance, and finds learning about other’s morals and mindsets to be interesting. She simply hates to make others feel bad or uncomfortable if it isn’t called for.

SASSY
A little playful on words and with a bit of snark to her attitude, Annie isn’t exactly as boring or straight faced as one might expect. While she isn’t exactly exactly a very jolly person, she has a tongue laced with sarcasm and snide remarks, and isn’t afraid to be a bit of an idiot at times. She likes to think she’s pretty darn cool, and isn’t afraid to flaunt it either. If she isn’t going to fight you with her fists, she’ll definitely do it with her attitude.

PASSIVE
A little uncaring about the world around her, Annie doesn’t always exhibit an active response to situations, and rather just likes to sit back and watch. In most cases, she isn’t even willing to put up a fight or waste her energy if it isn’t needed. If it’s not important, it’s simply a waste of her time.

STOIC
While expressions outside of the usual poker-face or frown aren’t rare, they certainly aren’t a common appearance, and if anything, Annie is straight faced at least ninety-five percent of the time. Insults or words intended to hurt her usually have little effect, and anyone criticizing her abilities isn’t worth proving wrong. She has better things to, extreme expression of emotion is something she simply considers to be tiring.

LAID-BACK
Annie is quite chill about most things, very relaxed and easygoing. If anything, she is an introvert, and tends to be a little more inactive in social events if she can, prefers quieter activities. She approaches tasks and school assignments calmly, however sometimes she can find herself getting a little lazy with things as she can sometimes care just a bit too little. It’s nice to be stress free, however it doesn’t always give her the best results, she forgets a lot of stuff.

ALOOF
A little cold and distant, Annie is almost numb to a lot of the things around her. Sometimes it’s almost as if she really doesn’t care when she should, and half the time, this is probably true. Hurting someone's feelings or making someone feel bad is something she can do without regret or remorse if she feels it’s right.

HARSH
Annie likes to be strong and too the point. If she doesn’t fully nail something in then she simply believes it won’t stick. She is very blunt about a lot of things. If the Meowstic going to teach someone a lesson, she’ll be full on about it, there is absolutely no need to sugar coat things when there is a real issue. In a sort of ‘be cruel to be kind’ type mindset, she likes to think that being a little mean can be better in the long run.

CRITICAL
Very judgmental and nit-picky about people’s faults, sometimes to an extreme level. If she doesn’t like something about someone she likes to make that clear. Unfortunately, Annie can be over the top with this. The Meowstic isn’t opposed to picking on people about what she thinks is wrong with them, It’s not secret when she really doesn’t like a certain aspect or of someone.

Hometown: Ambrette Town, Kalos

In the dusty old town of Ambrette lived a young couple, desperate to start their family. Unfortunately, they found themselves living off of pennies and dimes, and were currently too poor to even consider trying. Derek Nolan, the tall and hefty Arcanine of man of the two, worked long and hard hours in the Ambrette mines ( just off from the glittering caves ), to scrounge up what little money they could get while Guinevere Nolan,the small and kind Meowstic woman of the couple did her best to work whatever minimum wage job she could get her paws on. It was then that a miracle happened. The Arcanine had struck gold as he stumbled upon a cavern rich with fossilized remains of old Pokemon. After the discovery, the two came into a small fortune and Derek found himself slowly moving into the world of Paleontology and fossil research, a job with a much higher payout. Finally, after a few long and tiresome years, the couple decided it was finally time for them to have their first child.

From the moment she was born, Annie was a big and somewhat wild young girl. She was a little timid, but always wanted to explore new things. Her mother worried for her a lot, as it wasn't uncommon for the little Espurr to return home scratched and bruised. She was reckless and her powerful psychic organs were very difficult for her to control. Traditionally, Gwen found herself having to teach Annie how to control the immense power her daughter had been given, but it was difficult. Annie was very reluctant about it even from a young age. Whether it was that she wasn’t using them enough or if there was some kind of developmental problem was unknown to her and her parents. It was something that was very hard to determine. It was then that Annie’s father suggested the idea of teaching her how to battle, and the young Espurr was mesmerized by the very thought of it. She took up the opportunity right away.

Annie started training with her father when she turned six. Their move-set differences made things quite difficult for the two, but it didn’t change the fact that Derek had once been a battle enthusiast in his younger years, and had a lot of information to pass onto his daughter.The Espurr found so much more joy in training to be a physical attacker, and being able to disregard her troublesome ears all together.It was then that almost started to grow cold towards her mother. she found Gwen to be too annoying and too controlling. Who was she to tell her that she needed to focus more on her controlling her ears? Of course, the issues only grew worse and managing her psychic powers was becoming more and more difficult, yet Annie refused to acknowledge the address the problem out of stubbornness.

By the time she was twelve, things started to get a little more intense for the happy-go-lucky cat. She did well in school. She was focused, found it easy to concentrate, and had a natural talent for academics, it wasn’t until she started her new battle classes that things started to get a little rocky. In a class almost completely dominated by the local fossil Pokemon, Annie quickly felt a little out of place. She wanted to be friends, hoped that they could learn to battle together, but the Espurr was quickly shunned by them and she did not like it. Not one bit.

Annie’s attitude was too naive, too weak for this path that she wanted to go down. She wanted to be good at battle, she wanted to be tough, and if she was going to achieve that goal, she had to look the part. It was a slow and gradual change, but the Espurr slowly grew numb to their taunting, controlled herself so she’d lash out less, anything to help her stay on top of the situation. Her friends weren’t sure what to think of her at this point. She was still the person the knew, but she was starting to become a little scary, even to them. And slowly, Annie became harsh and cold. Unfortunately instead of driving away what were now regular bullies, it presented a challenge for them. Every now and then, she would snap, getting into fights with them that she would really hope to avoid as they earned her scolding from her parents and a victory for those who taunted her. But eventually that slowed down to almost a halt, and she was completely in control, none of their taunting could get to her now.

After an an accident in an old mine-shaft that crushed Annie's right leg, she was confined to a wheelchair for six months and then another six months on crutches. It was uncertain for quite some time as to if her leg would heal properly, but luckily for her, she was soon able to walk again without any severe issues. The healing process, however, was a difficult one for her, a new challenge that she wasn’t sure how to confront. She became angrier and she hated not feeling in control of things again. By the time she could walk, her ear problems had grown much worse, and it was Annie’s mother that decided it was time for evolution or else the problem would likely persist. The espurr wasn’t in favor of this idea, she didn’t particularly want to evolve but with her Everstone removed from her, she no longer had a choice.

Being a Meowstic brought about new confidence for Annie. She felt much more in control in her new body and she now had the opportunity to broaden her physical move-pool. This pursuit in her battle style unfortunately brought about a lot of new criticism both from peers and teachers. A battle-centered Meowstic that disregarded the immense psychic power given to them in their psychic organs was very strange, yet for her it seemed like the right and only option. Annie didn’t like the criticism at all, and at first she tried to argue but then instead found that the only way she could prove herself was through example. She was strong, there was no doubt about that, but compared to those who were born with natural strength and tried just as hard? It almost seemed like there was no point. Were her physical abilities simply limited to her species? She didn't want to believe in something like that.

At sixteen years old Annie made friends with a new girl that went by the name Lapis, A girl that had moved in to somewhat relieve her behavioral problems. The girl was a natural born rebel who seemed to have no intention to change. Her relationship with Annie was at first strange, yet it worked. The Meowstic found herself trying to help this new girl stay out of trouble and keep her life on track, and in turn, she offed Annie some relief from anyone who tried to pick on her. They became close friends, and Annie enjoyed every moment of time she spent with the Weavile. Eventually, Annie discovered what her true feelings were towards this girl, and it wasn't long until the two of them officially started dating.

Coming out as gay to her parents wasn’t easy. Her mother disapproved right of the bat, still keeping tight control over her daughter. She felt that Lapis was definitely a bad influence, and while her father was fine with his daughter being homosexual, even he was wary of the Weavile. Annie felt the need to express herself but it was being denied, and finally she decided it was best if she simply ignored her parents all together. The Meowstic honestly couldn’t see why her parents were so upset, but even her friends could see that Lapis wasn’t exactly the greatest person around. She was respectful in some ways, but in others she was rude, selfish, and controlling. To top it all off, Annie’s little ‘rebellious phase’ wasn’t sticking well with their relationship either. She got into fights more often, and found herself becoming much more savage and angry yet she didn't get it. Why was everyone against her? She just had to get it out of her system. It eventually got to the point where Lapis couldn’t stand to be around her and simply left, and it was done.

By now, the Meowstic only had Colby left (her cousin) who was also somewhat resentful towards her. She fell into a small state of depression, not sure where to go or what to do in her life. Of course the break-up was hard, but she found many other issues stacked on top of it and made it so much worse, and she felt betrayed by a lot of people. It took her a bit to pull it back together, but once she did, Annie decided it was time for a change of pace, somewhere where she could start fresh and hopefully pursue something that would make her parents proud of her. She did, after all, have a lot of mending to do there as well. Discovering a prestigious academy in Sinnoh, St Mortiel. She decided to consult her parents about leaving for the school and they happily obliged. She didn’t know what to expect from this new school, but she hoped it would open up new experiences and opportunities for her.

POST ARRIVAL:
Annie’s journey at St Mortiel has been a wild one from the start. Expecting a school full of pompous rich kids, she instead found herself in a crowd she could relate to as was profoundly surprised by the amount of respect she was able to earn. Since she was regarded as the underdog at her old school, now having the position of power may have gone to her head a little, but either way, she refuses to let that get to her as she keeps her head high. The kindness she has received from many of the students has brought out her long forgotten playful side a little as well. Even though she still speaks and wears the face of a person hardened by years of scorn and doubt, she is, overall, less scary and a little more bored looking if anything. Although she has a larger pool of friends and people who respect her now, it has also brought about her desperation to keep that together. Any loss of friendship is a strong blow to the Meowstic, and she has realized that she is almost obsessed with keeping herself likable towards the people she cares about. She has also realized that she has lost some of her self control in ways she didn’t expect, but is eager to get back on track with keeping herself calm, steady, and on top of the situation.
