A brief intro to a closed original species that's in the works. also, new oc! <:

the details I have made so far, at least.

They are fox kemonomimis (half-human, half-fox) with incense sticks growing near their ears. Their tails contain magic, and can summon flames. Once the incense sticks become too long, they use their tails to light the incense sticks to burn them away. Once the incense has burnt away, the ashes infuse with their fur and their hair color is temporarily a very light grey. Their normal hair color returns once the incense sticks start growing, and the cycle continues. They must burn their incense like how humans cut their nails - it doesn't hurt to keep growing the incense sticks, but it can hurt if it is violently snapped off by accident. They usually carry around a fan to maintain their burning incense sticks.
