Owlfang tends to get attached to one cat and not leave them alone for a couple of moons, much to their distaste. That's not to say they ignore them after that, however. They still do their best to remain friends with that cat, but eventually realizes that their new friend probably wants a bit of space.

One thing Owlfang loves is when they're the center of attention! They truly can't get enough of it, and it drives them to better themself in order to get as much praise as possible. They still know when it's inappropriate to try and take the spotlight from others, however, and will try and make their more introverted friends a bit more comfortable by not trying so hard.

Owlfang's never known how to be quiet. Their voice is naturally loud, and it doesn't help that it just gets louder when they're excited. While offputting to most cats, their close friends appreciate it and just think it's funny.

Owlfang taught themself at a young age to provide for themself and not rely on their clanmates for things like food and safety. They've felt this way ever since they were stuck in the medicine cat's den with a leg injury from an expedition into the forest, and still feels they need to prove that they're useful to the clan.

They absolutely hate getting told what to do. Owlfang believes that they should be able to do what they desire, as long as it doesn't hurt anybody in the process. This got them in a lot of trouble as an apprentice, and has made some cats wary to ask them of things.

Owlfang truly hopes they made the correct decision in presenting as agender, but sometimes they feel like it's just ended up pushing others away instead of bringing them closer. This self-doubt has drained into other parts of their life, even making them question tiny decisions they make, as well as the decisions of others.

Born to Pebblehawk and Sparrowthroat
Older brother named Hawkkit in honor of their mother's legacy
Hawkkit and Owlkit loved playing together and rarely left the others' side
Owlkit felt like they were 'living a lie', but didn't know exactly what was wrong
The two managed to sneak out of camp one day, and decided that it would be fun to see who could climb the highest
Owlkit won, but fell out of the tree on the way down, landing on their paws the wrong way
Hawkkit dragged Owlkit back to camp, and they had to stay in the medicine cat's den for a couple of weeks due to spraining two of their paws
Owlkit eventually recovered, but occasionally has pains in their paws if they step on it weird

Apprenticeship

Owlpaw was apprenticed to Jaggedtail, an older cat who refused to become an elder
Jaggedtail usually sent Owlpaw off to patrol the border alone, claiming that 'his bones just weren't what they used to be'
Owlpaw met a rouge near the border whose name was Rose, a lilac tabby she-cat
They kept meeting up and getting closer, resulting in Owlpaw confiding in her with their problems
She suggested that maybe their gender was the problem, and helped them as they experimented with it
Owlpaw came to the conclusion that gender just wasn't for them and that they were agender, telling Rose before anyone else
She accepted them wholeheartedly and promised that she wouldn't treat them any different
This gave Owlpaw the confidence to come out to their family, feeling relieved that their parents embraced them and made them feel loved no matter what, though they noticed that Hawkpaw could only manage a tight-lipped smile
As Owlpaw was heading to one of their meetings with Rose, they saw Hawkpaw in the forest
Owlpaw followed him, and was shocked to see Rose appear and warmly greet Hawkpaw like they had known each other for moons
Feeling brokenhearted and betrayed, Owlpaw stepped out of the bushes and confronted them
Rose stayed silent and Hawkpaw got defensive, running back to camp
Owlpaw left Rose behind and chased after their brother, while angry with him still worried for his safety
Hawkpaw apologized to Owlpaw and said that he would make it up to them if they went to the river close to the border the next day
Owlpaw trusted him and showed up at the river at sunrise, relieved to see that Hawkpaw was waiting for them
They talked and eventually started yelling, resulting in unsheathed claws and Owlpaw getting pushed into the fast pulling current
Owlpaw yelled for Hawkpaw to help them, but Hawkpaw just watched as Owlpaw got swept away
Before Owlpaw's head got fully submerged, Owlpaw saw a lilac tabby walk up and curl around Hawkpaw
When Owlpaw arrived back at camp the next day, exhausted and weak, Hawkpaw was no where in sight

Owlpaw passed their apprentice assessment with flying colors, getting named Owlfang in honor of the tooth that doesn't stay in their mouth-
Owlfang refuses to go back to the river, knowing that too many memories of Hawkpaw would surface, and they don't want to relive the fear they felt as they swirled further down the river
This doesn't stop them from serving their clan with a newfound passion, however, it drives them and inspires them to make up for Hawkpaw's absence in the clan
