Summary of Art 2016

I can hardly believe it's been a year since I did the last summary. It feels as if I had uploaded the last one just a few weeks ago

Well... Now this reminds me of my wish to start drawing more grown-up things which I already had last year ^^" On the one hand, I was always proud on my children's book-like style and it looks as if I was going to earn some money as an illustrator for kids soon- yeah! That's what I always wanted and I'm looking forward to it! On the other hand, it feels as if it was time to move on to new things... Just like I gave up drawing manga some years ago, I feel almost a bit tired of cute dragons and bright colors. It feels like a cage that I built for myself.
Dear watchers, I hope you will still like me in 2017 ... even if I feel as if my drawings might turn a bit darker and more grown up over the next months! I promise I will always put something cute and colorful in between ^^
I just feel as if there were two artists inside of me right now: One of them is the one who is serious about wanting to start a career as a children's book artist - the other one would like to draw a kind of art which I can hang up in my apartment without all guests thinking I'm immature to have baby dragons and kitties on my wall as a grown up woman. It's sad that there's such a difference inside of me at all
I'm quite curious to see my summary of art on January 1st 2018!
