CSI: Realms - Round 4

    “Well break me over a bastion’s backside,” Saundra complained as she walked back down the streets, “That girl was our only lead.”

    “That detective is right you know,” Koralia replied following her, “We should stop looking into the murders. We’re most likely going to end up like them.”

    “I’m not going down so easily,” the elvenborne commented as she patted the blade at her  waist. “Besides I think I’m onto our little murder. Come on! We’re heading to the wood, the guards will be busy with the new body.”

    “What?” the lady-in-waiting shouted only to have a hand cover her mouth.

    “SHHHHHHHHHHHHH! You want the whole bloody town to know where we are going? Shut your trap or go back to our room.”

    Gulping the commonborne replied, “But why the woods? None of the guards are going to be there.”

    “Correct, that means we are not going to be interrupting on our investigations,” Saundra commented as she went back to walking.

    “But that means that we won’t have anyone helping us if we get attack! Whether by the murder or by a wild pokemon.” Koralia ran in front of her mistress. “Please, let’s go find a pokemon to protect us while we are here.”

    Knowing she was right but didn’t want to admit it, Saundra pointed at her. “Fine you go find a Pokemon to protect your ass. I’ll go check out the first crime scene. Alone.” With that the elvenborne stormed off down the road.

    Stuck between following her off to impending danger and seeking assistance, the lady-in-waiting hiked up her dress a bit and chased after the headstrong woman.

    At the edge of the woodlands, the two of them scanned the remains of the first murder. While the body was completely removed, the blood that leaked from the corpse was left to dry on the grass. Murkrow feathers and pokemon tracks littered the scene as well; scavengers looking for a easy meal.

    Koralia kept a hand over her mouth as she tried to hold back the urge to puke as well as to fight off the metallic smell of blood in the air. Saundra on the other hand was poking around the area with her sword.

    “What do you hope to find m’lady?” the sick woman asked as she looked away from the blood.

    Hitting a something with her blade, Saundra replied, “Something that can reveal some information on the killers.” She reached down to recover the item. “A token or a piece of clothing. Anything really.”

    “But didn’t Karuso and his men clean this place out? HRK-!” the commonborne asked before you stomach finally gave up.

    Pinching her nose to fight of the stench, she replied, “I would rather see for myself. Besides I don’t trust him as far as I can throw him. I don’t trust anyone not loyal to me and if you want to live in the world of royal politics, you should do the same.”
