Loneliness

When the interminable journey that’s been thrust upon you gets you down, play your seashell-flute.

I had something much simpler in mind, and as seems to be the norm, it spiraled into a thing that took two days. In particular, I wanted to do something Rodney Matthews-esque, because I like his work and it makes a good contrast to the sorts of places Durandal and co. usually visit.

Incidentally, that flute is one of the few things keeping Durandal sane on his little trip (other things being ‘talking to himself’ and ‘berating the artifact as if it’s sentient’).
