Universe Flower

Another fractal! I like making fractals, it's so satisfying to watch them take shape. To make it, I followed this wonderful tutorial, and then, to use the technical term, screwed around. The middle looks a bit like a spiral galaxy, I think, and the lights on the petals, to me, look a bit like galaxies distorted by gravitational lensing. 

Afterwards I duplicated it in PSE and set the top layer to Soft Light just to make it pop a bit more. 

I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out! I also made a few other fractal flowers which I think I'm going to tweak and use in one of my more normal paintings.
