History: Eve was named for the time Briar found her. He ran into her while out investigating the fog in Winter of 774 on Hollow's Eve. Since then, she has been welcomed into Briar's glade, where she spends her time playing and sometimes causing trouble.

Personality:
Recent events in Briar's life have changed his outlook on things. Where he was once overwhelmingly arrogant, he's been brought back down to earth again. He's taken the time to really think about things, things his father and mother taught him and things he's learned all on his own. This has made him realize how foolish he acted in his "teenage" years. Although still young, with a lot of learning to do, Briar is beginning to allow his true self to show. He isn't so fussed with impressing others or acting tough--despite feeling weak. He's learning to take things slowly instead of rushing into situations, making brash decisions, and overall putting himself and his newly formed family at risk. His priorities have shifted. This change of thinking has drastically affected Briar, quieting him into what might appear to be a somber attitude. Anyone who knows the current secrecy in his life might think his silence comes from that, but instead it comes from his self-evaluation. What's really important? That's what Briar is trying to figure out now. 

Appearance:
Coat - Similar in color to his mother's but closer to the texture of his father's fine haired pelt. 
Horns - Sturdier build than his fathers, but similar in the shape and the way they curl. 
Other - Lightly decorated with blue poppies. Secretly loves them, but thinks too many would make him look like a doe with his slender build. As self conscious as he is, it's likely he only keeps the flowers he has because his mother likes them.

History:
Born in early spring in the year 767 of the New Age, Briar is the third little lord birthed by his mother to his Lord father. His early years were spent by his mother or father's side, surrounded by his immediate siblings and step siblings, and there were many. The family Briar found himself born into was a large one, offering not only siblings, but many aunts, uncles and cousins too. It was this overwhelming quantity of differing personalities that first sparked his desire to stand out. Not only that, but as he grew old enough to notice and understand, he could only see his older brothers as idols. They were brave and stalwart, and he wanted to be just like them. On the other hand, the more notice he took of his brothers' lives, the more differences Briar noticed in his father's habits. This only became truer as Briar began to make friends with other young in Glenmore.
His father Celestin was not like most Lords. He have the same interests. He didn't react the same way to the goings on in their society. He just didn't act the way a Lord-stag should by what Briar had seen. As he grew, Briar found himself more and more concerned with fitting in. His views on things shifted. He became bratty and arrogant, looking down on the commoner folk with only interest in what they could do for him. He was above them, he thought. His blood was pure and royal. 
Eventually, around the age of six, his outlook came between him and his father. They came to blows over Briar's opinions of does and marriage and betrothal after Briar learned that he'd been chosen as the betrothed for a daughter of King Rafe named Princess Caireann. 
Regardless of what his father thought, Briar went on about his business, avoiding his family. Foolishly believing he could protect them, Briar suggested he and Caireann venture from the Royal Glades alone in celebration of their wedding. They were separated, and although they were eventually reunited, this day changed things forever. 
Soon enough, Briar learned that Caireann was pregnant with another stag's fawn.
The news was sobering for the young stag. He couldn't be angry with Caireann. It was his duty to protect her life and her reputation, and he'd failed. He promised to claim the fawn as his own and to carry through with their marital promises as planned for the rest of their lives. It was his responsibility. 

Timeline

Year 767 of the New Age - Born (1st February) as the third lord born to his father by Lady Kaelee.

Year 768 of the New Age - Still a bumbling little fawn, remaining close to Mama and Daddy while also pretending he's as brave as his older brothers.

Year 769 of the New Age - Continues to grow. Meets Tuscan, a fellow Lord, at the market and they become friends.

Year 770 of the New Age - Briar turns three and becomes more independent from his loving mother, eager to prove his worth in the Glenmore herd as a Lord.  

Year 771 of the New Age - Now four years old, Briar spends most of his days hanging around other young lords.

Year 772 of the New Age - Five years old and young Briar continues to make friends among the other royalty, avoiding any sort of relationship with commoners except for simple business. His ego really begins to grow, much to his parents disappointment. 

Year 773 of the New Age - Lady Desdemona joins Briar's harem officially after showing interest in him. She has the approval of her family on her side and easily uses Briar's arrogance against him to get his attention. 
Most notably, this year Briar is betrothed to Princess Caireann of King Rafe and Princess Iminye in the Spring. Although he is overjoyed with the honor, he becomes very self-righteous about the fact. He and his father have a disagreement about his behavior and the ensuing fall out leaves Briar feeling very distant from his family. Later this year, Briar learns that Caireann fell pregnant during an incident on a trip they took away from the Royal Glades... and the fawn is most certainly not his. 

Year 774 of the New Age - Caireann gives birth to a colt. No one knows it isn't Briar's as he claims the fawn without question and treats him as any respectable father would treat their child. However, in the back of his mind, he replays his mistakes in the previous year, recognizing what sort of danger he put Caireann in. At the same time, he yearns for the comfort of his family after distancing himself from them. He decides it's time to swallow his pride and make amends. 

Year 775 of the New Age - Lady Poppy joins Briar's harem. 

Year 776 of the New Age - Desdemona approaches Briar about having a fawn. He agrees now is a good time.
