SO MUCH SYMBOLISM OMG
Anyway, this is the cover for the first Stormbow chapter, Pastmasters.
And it is choc-full of foreshadowing.
I swear that everything depicted here will be in one way or another explained in the chapter. Including the power-lines in an otherwise medieval-ish setting.
I was aiming for a feeling of foreboding, with the broken tower (tarot cards anybody?) and the...everything, actually. It's up to the viewer to tell me if I succeded in that.
Was aiming for an effect kind of like this fav.me/d67ry07, but...it's...not...
Also, comment if you got the reference to a rather obscure (but really good) flashgame!

I wouldsay that the drawing style is the strongest point of the image. The "background" (which, for the purpose of this comment, is anything further than the text) style is very peculiar. Textures sometimes "bleed" through the lines, to a point when the background seems to "melt" together. This is totally absent from the text area, with clear and defined separations, creating a rather interesting contrast. Definitely meaningful.

As a weak point, the title is barely visible. You could increase the countour thickness, change the color, anything... Maybe make the inside green to link it to the character? As it is, the title does not stand out enough.

I guess there is some symbolism conveying more meaning to the image, but my knowledge of this field being nonexistent, I don't get it. The flag and the ruined tower in particular seem to have a purpose I can't figure out.

To conclude, I'd say it's a definitely puzzling scene, which perfectly fits its intended use as a cover. It tells what you can expect from reading: strange stuff. Lots of it. Mission complete :)
