Additional Info: Reader in wheelchair, Lance is boyfriend
Word Count: 847
He grits his teeth in frustration and worry.
The machines at the Pokémon Centres haven't helped it heal, and even the most professional of dragon trainers he's reached out to have never heard of anything like this happening.
Clair rushes in, handing her cousin a slip of paper with an address messily scrawled on it.
"I think I've found someone who can help."
He remembers entering the once-gloomy Lavender Town within its first stages of revitalization.
It had been a while since he'd visited, but the atmosphere had been noticeably different. People leisurely explored the town with their Pokemon. He could hear laughter in the streets, and it seemed at peace.
He had hoped that he wouldn't have to visit the Pokémon Tower for dreaded reasons anytime in the near future.
Shaking the morbid thought out of his head, he had placed his confidence in whoever lived at the address clutched in his hand.
He had approached the pale blue house to see all kinds of Pokémon playing in the front yard. Opening the gate rang a tiny blue bell to signal his entrance.
He has to admit, he'd been quite surprised to see you roll out of the house in a wheelchair, offering him a handshake as you approached him.
"I'm (Y/N), and welcome to my Pokémon Rehabilitation Centre."
It's only been six months since the incident, but he finds himself opening the gate and ringing that tiny blue bell again for the third time this week.
"Darling, I got you the new food for Electric types that you wanted."
You giggle whenever he calls you by any pet name-- it's quite adorable for someone who's usually so stoic and professional.
Was it your charming laugh that got him? More than that, it was probably the way you cared for the Pokémon and for anyone, really. He can't help but watch in awe as you call a small group of Pikachu over to try the new food and remember every one of their names.
He simply can't believe that someone who has gone through so much can find it in their heart to be so kind to a world that has treated them so cruelly.
You used to be quite the adventurer, he remembers you telling him. One more badge, and you would have been on the road to facing him on Indigo Plateau. He wonders if he would have fallen for you had he met you then. With that smile? Probably.
Since a freak accident in battle, you had lost use of your legs for what doctors predicted would be the rest of your life. It had taken a toll on you-- while your battle skills didn't suffer, it would be nearly impossible for you to navigate Victory Road or fly, swim, and dive with your Pokémon like you used to.
Hearing the news was a crushing blow to your spirit, and marked the start of a dark period in your life.
But you weren't one to let things get you down permanently, he thinks, recalling your story.
Your voice is like a windchime to him, and it breaks him out of his thoughts.
"Ah, Lance! Why don't you try feeding them?"
He's a little hesitant at first, and so are the mouse-like creatures. Lance sticks his hand out as the Pikachu creep closer to sniff the food, and it only takes a minute before they begin cuddling up to him and you see a smile forming on his face.
You're sitting by the pond, so you release your Dratini into the water to get some fresh air.
Blue Bell exits her Pokéball with a splash. You admit, the name's a little cheesy, but it means a lot to you. She had been the first Pokémon you'd caught after your accident, but it was only because she was so weak.
Using rare berries, you had been able to heal her, and used the same concoction on Lance's Dragonite just a few months ago.
A tiny blue bell had been hanging from her neck, and to you, that symbolized hope.
Lance walks to your side and laces one of his hands in yours, the other reaching out to pet the aquatic dragon. A Pikachu rests on his shoulder.
"You know Lance, I think you're really getting the hang of this." You beam at your boyfriend, and for once, he looks a little embarrassed.
"It's only because I've had such a great teacher." He squeezes your hand.
"You're great at training dragon types, but I think you've really found your calling here."
"(Y/N), I think you're right,"
You whirl around in surprise-- you were only teasing, after all. You don't want to take Lance's passion for becoming a dragon-type trainer away.
But you sigh in relief when he affirms you,
"I've found my calling, and it's to be with you."

Lance's Dragonite lets out a desperate wail for the third time this hour, and all he can do is gently massage the smooth skin on its arm as he pushes his scarlet locks back with his hand.He grits his teeth in frustration and worry.

Forgotten Dreams - Lance x Male!Reader [1]
The battle had long since been underway. Cries of when to dodge, of when to attack echoed throughout the room, the two Pokémon receiving the commands obeying them without fail. Their trainers stood on either side of the large, open room, glaring at one another through the mist and rain that had been steadily falling from a previous attack. Both refused to give in, though the fatigue of having battled for hours was starting to weigh heavily upon them and their Pokémon. They knew what was at stake. The title of Champion of the regions of Kanto and Johto was not something so easily taken or given. If one gave up now due to a little dis

Hugh X Reader ~ Quaint
Hugh woke up early, 6:30 in the morning to be exact. As a dedicated trainer, he always rose this early to train. He rubbed the sleepiness out of his eyes, hopping out of bed. He got dressed quickly, gelling his hair and pulling on his fingerless gloves.
Although that odd Gym Leader (Burgh, was it?) confirmed there were no Team Plasma members in the Castelia Sewers, Hugh had to investigate further. Why would they even be there, anyway? They better not be...
The very thought of it made his blood boil.

"Bleh. Where is this stupid Castelia Park?" You wrinkled your nose in disgust, as the waves of stench assaulted your nose. The kind lady

The Perfect Stone [Steven Stone X Fem!Reader]
The (H/C) scrubbed harder at the dish she was holding. She was aggivated. Not at the plate because it wouldn't get clean (okay maybe a bit but that is beside the point). But at her boyfriend. Steven. He was always out. Every time she asked him if they could go out, he always said he was busy at Granite Cave. Plus, he had to attend to things at the Pokemon League. Did he not want to be with her anymore...?
She sighed and placed the dish on the dish rack and turned off the water faucet. She suddenly felt horrible, thinking of the possibility that Steven didn't want her.
The woman then trudged to couch, deciding that it was the nearest thing t

As part of my Rainbow Requests.
HOOOOOKAAAYY I can't believe I'm on such a roll with these. I've never been able to finish this many fics in this period of time, so I'm really happy about this!
The colour theme was a little more obvious in this one, so I'm happy with that. I thought the request concept with reader was adorable, and I can totally see some kind of organization like this in Lavender Town, helping rehome Pokémon and caring for them, especially once the town becomes less spoopy.
Anyway, first time writing for Lance, so enjoy! <3
