Kel felt that, easy going as Lily was, he'd got the raw end of the deal when picking who to take into the halter class. It wasn't as if Lily was badly behaved; she didn't stamp or throw herself on the floor or pull away as some of the horses were doing. No, Lily just looked like she couldn't care less and would rather be anywhere else. She gazed off into space as she often did, distracted by other prancing horses, yawned, refused to take up a proper stance... it seemed that Lily was just away with the fairies today and Kel may as well have not been there at all. He sighed as she pulled a few more stupid faces as the judge went past and stood as camped under as she could make herself look. Kel tried to set her stance again but his own inexperience was embarrassing and she just appeared to laugh at him with a snort and a toss of her head, blowing spittle and dust from her nose.
