Star Mares 3.4.9: Sun Crusher

Happy Star Wars Day!  Let's have a wanton destruction party!

I make no apologies for the old joke in the first panel.  It is something that Pinkie would say if she turned into an ax-crazy supervillainess who owned a battlestation.

This time the Nightmare Moon is just a big unicorn-beam instead of a Smooze dispersal system, due to the needs of the story.  In-universe, the explanation is that the original, nonlethal version was designed by Rarity as a way to end the Pone Wars (a 'Peace Moon,' if you will ) which is why its targeting system was attuned to her, whereas this version was inspired by the Nightmare Force plucking one of Pinkie's most traumatic memories ('Too Many Pinkie Pies') and saying "that looks like fun, we should supersize that!"

The final panel was inspired by the old Tristar logo sequence (the one with the leaping pegasus), although I wasn't able to find an image of it with the pose I wanted, so did the closest approximation I could.  It's also meant to evoke Jareth's slow-motion appearance in the denouement of Labyrinth, but it's a bit hard to convey that with a still picture
