Salazar, Lustre and Rhys were born to Axel and Nifylau, and were brought home to live with Axel and his handler, as such they have some positive memories of humans; one day however, poachers decided to steal the the two neon kits, at which point Salazar tried to protect them, resulting in the whole litter been taken. Though they heard the furious cries of their sire, the poachers traveled quickly with the aim to sell the two neons for profit. One night whilst the poachers were resting, Salazar, who'd been watching managed to make his escape, freeing his siblings as well; they ran off as far as they could go; the next several months were tough as the kits struggled to survive, becoming untrusting of humans, and other chimena's to a point; as they grew they became more adept at living, and eked out a small territory for themselves, though they do occasionally go looking for their 'father' and the human they do remember as been kind.
