  • EDIT 2021-06-23: The downloader works on any gallery/favs URL, meaning all folders which are visible (watcher-only ones can't be downloaded without +watching 1st). Also journals are an automatic download, but polls and statuses are fully manual. Search facility can't be used, it's worthless. Reformatted the post.
  • EDIT 2020-01-27: The downloader works on whole galleries, the whole of favs, and all scraps. ATM it doesn't accept URLs, so all uploads will be downloaded instead of specific ones. And still only non-matures can be downloaded with it.

I probly shouldn't be doing this, but I feel I'm obligated to since I'm affected as well (fav.me/db15rwn) ...
  • In the light of jittery-the-dragon, T4L1-N7 and CoffeeBeanu deactivating (jittery-the-dragon never gave a warning, he just deactivated or was deactivated/banned) and MiragePotato giving a warning (of delete), I'm announcing the availability of a service from me:
  • Most of the time I'll download a deviant's gallery, favs, scraps, and journals for free so a favorite artist will live on, make a 7z package using 7-Zip (Linux, Unix and *BSD Users (dunno about Mac without researching) will need `p7zip-full` (may be lacking the `-full` part in the name) package or equivalent expansion to an archiver software if not already present) and link to it.
  • Even a deactivated/banned user is valid, but whether there's anything left can be another story, so it's best to get on it ASAP.
  • I've a number of methods up my sleeve. No worries, nothing involves attacks or anything otherwise shady whatsoever: if it's not publicly visible (registration should be fine) on Internet, then I can't get it. If it can be gotten through shady means, I'm not doing it, no fucking way. Besides, I don't know any attacks or such.
  • Service is meant for personal viewing only or uploading to Derpibooru or e621 obviously, but like almost everything, this is extremely easily abused since there're hardly any ways to know who'd abuse. Besides, anyone with enough brains and patience can do this, you don't need to be Albert Einstein.
  • Unless they're important, useful or funny, polls and other non-art are skipped due to the extra, fully manual work. Journals are automatic.
  • Feel free to send me the links and even just usernames to download to rautajunkATgmailDOTcom ! Everything will be kept secret unless specifically asked, except the downloaded gallery.

    In some Users' case it's possible to use DA Eclipse's (the old facility is no longer valid) search facility to browse and fav their stuff (if their stuff is intact), like so:
    Address=www.deviantart.com/search/devi…, replace rautamiekka with the username.
    The scraps and favs are no longer searchable.
