Personality

(+)Logical (+)Calm/Level-headed (+)Loyal (/)Serious (/)Quiet (/)Realist (-)Blunt (-)Cold (-)Aloof

Miyuki can best be described as the quiet observer, whether in or out of a group, without emotion or soul for anyone or anything save one person. She is by all meaning of the word serious, keeping a realistic view about most, if not all things, situations, and people and unafraid to be blunt, even if it comes off as cold and careless. While some believe that this can be pessimistic or harsh, Miyuki believes that sometimes being realistic, and even "cold-hearted"/doubtful of a situation can prepare her for if/when things do not work out they way she would like/as people expect them to. As mentioned, Miyuki can be blunt as well, though this is to a degree. While she will blatantly state whatever is on her mind and/or what her opinion is of something or someone, she will only do so when asked, and would prefer not to get involved, as she knows that her blunt tongue can start a fire, figuratively speaking. Despite her cold, quiet, and rather intimidating nature, Miyuki is still willing to lend her assistance and strength to help someone out when they request it, especially if they are on good terms with the ice fox or with her significant other, Haru. She can also be rather protective of Haru and those they care for, and will not hesitate to fight - type disadvantage or not - if he or anyone else is threatened or in any danger. Most of the time, however, Miyuki is emotionally detached, allowing her logical side to shine through and analyse a situation fully, making sure to have the best possible outcome before actually diving into something, and if something were to go wrong, while she wouldn't hold back from mentioning the consequences that could result, she would also show an almost eerie kind of calmness in order to help, as if the situation didn’t bother her in the slightest.

Miyuki herself believes that outside of her love for Haru, she herself can feel no emotion, be it anger, fright, or happiness. She very rarely smiles, and even when she does, unless it’s for Haru it will most likely be a fake one formed for the sake of the other person. It should also be noted that Miyuki can feel fear, but only during thunderstorms or in the presence of someone using electric/thunder/lightning magic.

History

Upon meeting Miyuki, the first thing one would notice is the scar on her eye. When asked, she would refuse to talk about it, and even scowl at the person for being so inquisitive, simply answering that it has to do with a long and sad story going back to her infantile age.

Miyuki hails from a small little village by the name of 水蒸気, or Suijōki, secluded within one of the mountains of Yore. While the country was known to be a dangerous place for gijinkans to reside, the people of Suijōki had a secret, a trick up their sleeve that made it possible to exist in peace. Suijōki was surrounded by pockets of hot springs, and with their location deeply seated quite literally in a clearing within a mountain, they were constantly steeped within a dense fog, the steam that rose from the springs only adding an extra layer of camouflage to the already hidden and secluded area. The fog kept their people in, safe from any threat, and to those same threats kept them out, the air too thick to navigate unless you truly knew the ins and outs of the area.

Her parents, a beautiful vaporeon named Kishiko, and a handsome delcatty named Hideyuki, were both young, and therefore rather inexperienced at family life, especially since Miyuki had come as a surprise. What they lacked in material possessions or experience, however, they made up in their dedication to give their daughter what they could - love and happiness. They tried their hardest to make sure that they were around when the little glaceon - then a little eevee - needed them, and while they were at work made a point of making sure that Miyuki was watched over, namely in the hands of their neighbours Masaru and Honoka Hayashi and their small son Haru, the latter of whom Miyuki got along with well. Though she remembers little else of her family, she does remember that they were wealthy in the things that mattered, and that they were happy.

But even things like happiness are, unfortunately, short-lived.

Around the time Miyuki turned 10, her parents began to run into financial issues. The family was barely getting by, and it wouldn’t be long before the family would start to lack enough for just an everyday meal. Because Kishiko was an excellent cook, the couple decided that Kishiko would’ve had to take on a job herself in order for the family to have enough, and thus assumed a role as a baker in order to bring in an extra income. Kishiko had already been known in the town for her beauty, but after some time, Kishiko’s abilities as a baker soon began to shine through, and her baking became just as well known within the small town as her beauty. It wasn’t long before she caught the eye of a wealthy Arbok, Akihiro, and although he knew she was married, he began to make advances towards her. Kishiko was troubled - the family needed the money and without her income they would soon be unable to afford even a loaf of bread. At the same time, however, she knew it was becoming dangerous to work the long hours she did in the bakery on her own. She made it clear that she was unwilling to leave her husband and take his hand in marriage, but even though the Vaporeon continually rejected the man's advances, even going so far as to close the shop for her safety, the man continued to pursue the young woman. When Akihiro finally realised that there was no chance for Kishiko to end up his wife and lover, he made the decision right then and there that if he could not have her, then no person could, including her husband and child. Being the wealthy man he was, the Arbok had many connections to turn to, and through those connections came into contact with a Luxray, one who not only specialised in quiet assassinations, but who made it their life’s work to be as skilled as he could in the line of work. They waited, planning the perfect day until it finally came - the New Year’s eve. The Luxray watched the festivities that occurred throughout the night until the family had finally fallen asleep at the wee hours of the morning, and once they’d fallen asleep, quietly snuck in. Within moments he’d been in the Kajiwara’s room, a dagger in one hand and their daughter, bleeding from her right eye and paralysed both literally and figuratively with his electric attacks, in the other. They were left with two options - remain silent and do as he said, or dare to scream for help but watch as their daughter would die. Kishiko began to plead for Miyuki’s life, but as she did so Hideyuki instinctively lunged forward. There was very little of a fight before the Delcatty fell, the females unable to do little as they watched the life of their husband and father snuffed out before their eyes. Before Miyuki knew it, she could feel her body being cast to the side, the impact of her face - specifically where her right eye had been - making a sickening crack against the wall before the girl lay still, blood slowly, but steadily pooling on the ground as as she watched her mother succumb to the electrically coated blade, finally giving way to unconsciousness as her vision faded to black.

The girl awoke hours later, the knocking of a concerned neighbour startling her from her sleep. Without much thought of whether the Luxray man was still there or not the little glaceon (who’d only evolved days before) cried out for help, the crackling of the electricity from his last attack ringing in her ears as she laid sobbing over her slain parents. Miyuki was quickly treated, although the damage done to her was too late, as the gash and the impact had already cut off proper blood supply and rendered her blind in the eye. Though it was laborious, the glaceon was questioned repeatedly about her family’s fate, until finally it connected that her parents’ deaths were the cause of foul play.

Miyuki herself was traumatised by the event, the girl growing numb following their passing. With no actual home to go to, Haru’s family quickly took her in, and though they tried their best to make Miyuki smile, it was to no avail. As time went on and Miyuki began to attend school once again, the kids went first from fearing the girl for what happened to her, thinking she was bad luck, to whispers and gossip, before finally turning to taunting and bullying. Miyuki herself since the events had taken to being a loner, but now things were harder, as the girl was taunted for the way she looked, the taunts going so far as saying her parents died not because of the assassin, but because her face was now destroyed and they were overcome with fear. The bullying only increased until finally the bullying turned physical.

Without a second thought, Haru stepped in to defend her, sending the message to the others to leave her alone. Miyuki, for the first time since the event, was overcome with emotions, and after a long embrace, finally began to accept Haru back into her life. She spent many days after that training under the tutelage of Haru’s father, learning how to defend Haru and herself and swearing both her life and her allegiance to him, especially after the sacrifice he’d made to offer his own life in behalf of hers when making the contract with his blade summon In’yōken.

The duo’s individual training seemed to go well as they grew older, however it was clear that the two still had hidden potential. While out on a mission one day, Haru’s father came across information of a school in Tora, Yarelts’ Academy, and after discussion the two decided that, in order to hone their skills, they should attend the school, and set off to do just that.

Hobbies
- Diamond dust
- Dancing (mostly ballet and waltz)
- Playing Violin
- Whatever Haru does

House

         Solum

Weapon

Daï-jō - A longer, more advanced version of the traditional Japanese jō. It is decorated with simple markings on both ends. Yuki can focus her ice type abilities into the staff if she chooses to, and then release that energy into a spin attack. The staff can also act as an extension of her when throwing her ice darts, flying out in a circular motion

Ice Darts - Thin, sharp needles that Yuki’s species can naturally create; they can take the form of a diamond (similar to the pattern her species is decorated in), the form of pin needles, or in the form of a Shuriken

Shuriken - Self explanatory; blades meant to nick a person and act as a distraction. She owns physical ones in addition to the ones her ice darts form. They are similar to the one she wears in her hair

Tessen(War) fan - Metallic fans that, when thrown, act like the blades of a circular saw. They can also be opened partially to slice if desired, and they return back like a boomerang. If not careful, however, she can get cut badly by them

Class/SubClass

Shadow/Ninja
- Following in the footsteps of Haru’s father, Yuki chose to learn the ways of a ninja to protect Haru. Thanks to her love of dancing growing up, as well as the lithe, graceful movements she seems to naturally possess, Yuki’s choice to become a ninja complements her well, those same swift movements creating a deadly combination with the skills she’s obtained. She is quick, quiet, and fierce.

Extras/Fun Facts

-In a relationship with Haru Hayashi

-Though she has affection for Haru’s family, she was never able to fully accept them as her family, and to this day looks at them as the family of her lover. She even refers to them as (equivalent of Mr. or Mrs. Hayashi) instead of Mom or Dad

-In addition to using her ice as a weapon, Miyuki can also make stunning displays with her diamond dust ability

-Miyuki wears one of her shuriken as a hair ornament; it's points have been worn down (despite looking sharp in the picture above) so that it doesn't physically hurt her

-She cannot remember much of her past, and thunderstorms, lightning, and electric magic all paralyse her(no pun intended), put her in a state of paranoia, and bring back flashbacks; the dropping of pots and pans startle her as well since they’re also loud and booming, but they don't bring on the same paranoia. She's also blind in just her right eye from when she was little, and has a rather large/obvious scar over it
-if she gets scared enough she begins to create diamond dust involuntarily, though it is much more basic and lack-luster. The air will also get colder and have a mix of snow in it

-If one of her ptsd-like triggers continues (like thunderstorms, for example), she will spiral further into her fear, and begin to ramble about something that even she doesn’t know the meaning of. The Hayashis have only recently begun to feel it may be a first-hand account of what happened during her fateful and unfortunate encounter, but she only seems to remember the words she mumbles when under this strong state of paranoia, and they refuse to forcefully make her re-live an account that has clearly affected her emotionally, mentally, and physically
-While Miyuki may state that she’s emotionless aside from the occasional fear or contentment, this isn’t necessarily true. Miyuki more or less has trained herself to feel no emotion, as her guilt for letting Haru’s soul be the binding contract to his summon In'yōken eventually became too much to bear. It is also the reason she’s sworn both her life and allegiance to Haru - she feels it is the only way she can repay him for the incident

-Miyuki’s face, expression, and tone is evidence of this; she becomes visibly bothered when in'yōken is summoned, and remains quiet and uneasy even after returning back to its plane of existence for a number of days

-Her glaceon ears twitch for various reasons; it's almost as if they have a mind of their own. They're also the only spot that isn't ticklish, and petting them will result in an unusually feline response - purring. The trait seems to stem from her biological father

-On that note, do not touch the glaceon’s tail or ears - that’s reserved for Haru and very close friends only; you will get beaten if you do touch them

-Eye colour is a purplish blue

-Miyuki is thankfully not blind in both eyes; she was saved in time to get proper healing, and thus is only blind in one eye

-Her hair is extremely long, and when untied reaches down to about where her knees are. It is very rarely untied, however

-Yuki’s strawberry necklace/choker is an icium Z, and the other necklace is a standard Mystic Water. Until she can use the icium Z, it remains defunct/purely aesthetic. The pendant takes the shape of a strawberry because of both her and Haru's fondness for the fruit. In her initial design, the strawberry was a mega stone for Haru

-Miyuki's moveset: Mirror Coat, Ice Fang, Ice Beam, Shadow Ball

What is her sense of humor like, assuming (considering what was said about her personality in the biography) she has 1?
