Description

The Resonance Hive resided in mountain tops near a popular hiking area and were generally non-hostile. However, when deemed necessary, this hive planned calculated avalanches to trap ponies. They accomplish this by placing themselves at strategic locations and vibrating their wings to certain frequencies to trigger controlled avalanches.

They then "save" this ponies from the avalanches, garnering more trust and gratitude for more plentiful love harvests. Another tactic they used is to have somepony seemingly call for help. The echos produced by the mountainous area often lured noble-hearted ponies who try to seek out the call for help. These ponies often ended up in a resort* with no memory of getting there and told they were instead saved by other hikers who happened upon them.

*The hive ran a small resort (a little ways away from their real home) at the general midpoint area for weary hikers as their main means of love harvesting. Of course, nopony knew it was being ran by changelings. Their pit stop had been gaining popularity at one point due to the cosy atmosphere and welcoming hosts. After all, it won't do to have ponies stop coming, now would it?

**Chalybeous is about Luna-sized

Maybe, but if your Queen would accept a free invitation to his Resort for a alliance meeting is a different story, since he is a bit more hostile towards ponys (many former rulers had some feuds and on the last attack, his mother, a former queen was fatally injured, that is why he choose the new hive spot)
