Eternal (Line Art Version)

This time, the theme surrounds the topic of being in a romantic relationship between a human and a youkai, or supernatural beings in general.
It sounds good and all, and many manga/anime/dramas like to use this idea to spice things up.
I try not to, but can't help but think of "what happens after their happy-ever-after?" (Always cuts off the story oh so conveniently. lol) 
  Realistically, the outcome can't be anything but HEART-BREAKING.  


Youkai are known for their longevity, they live way longer than a normal human's lifespan.
Which means, even if the lovers stay with each other "forever", as default, the human will perish beforehand, leaving their other half......for years after.
The feeling of losing your beloved is just so PAINFUL. Especially knowing that you'll never be able to see them. 
With (partial)immortal being, it's even more painful because they have to bear this AGONY for ERAS.
Moreover, because they exist for so long, they tend to have more 'committed'/'deep' attachments to who they think are important to them. This just makes everything more painful....
