Yes, I will consider requests. But on thinking about it - because I got one - I decided I better put down my "rules" for requests.
1) It's a "request". I can turn it down. I may turn you down because I don't know the subject well, or don't think I can do it justice, or because I don't have time. I may be working on other art already, and just not able. Please don't take a refusal as an insult to your idea.
2) I'm not very familiar with many fandoms, especially video games and anime, so please be understanding if I turn you down because I have no clue what you are talking about.
3) Requests are not commissions. While the characters belong to whomever, the art is mine, and I retain all rights to it.
4) I will NOT do: pornography / hentai, sexual positions or bdsm (kissing / snuggling -yes, pin-up - maybe, PG13 maybe, R+ no), heavy blood / gore / horror in general (action fight - yes, horror monster ripping people up - no), anthro / furry except animal ears and tail only or just maybe coloring (not because I object but because my animal anatomy currently sucks), anything that isn't innocent depicting a child or tween.
I'm the mother of 4 kids, and while I am not a prude (I do practice on images of nude or nearly nude models), I will draw the line at anything I think is an inappropriate depiction of a young person. So just don't ask me, really. I'm sure there are other artists out there if you really really want something like that.
5) Really short dresses on females or just shirts on males will have short shorts or panties or boxers on under them!
6) Understand that I don't draw faces well enough yet to do portraits of specific real life people.
7) Pose and clothing reference are helpful.
8) I may attempt to do a request, and then find I that I don't think I can do it justice, or make a finished piece of art that I'd be proud of, and then tell you I can't do it. Please don't be too mad if I do this. I mean, you want a nice piece, right?

Sources for Public Domain Images
I used to create collage sheets using public domain images and sell them. I chose public domain images because then the person using the collage sheet didn't have to worry about copyright when using the images in their work. I no longer have that business, but my fascination with images persists.
I've decided it would be wise to share a few sources besides DeviantArt (which has great stock sources) where other artists can get reference images or things they can use as stock.
The first place to check for antique photos, postcards, advertising, posters, etc. is the digital collections of the Library of Congress.

Working On A New Character
Had an idea for a steampunk-ish character last night. She's cute (I'm deliberately drawing her face rounder than a more "realistic" human face, with larger eyes - she's not a child but I want her to have that child-like innocence feel.) I've named her Emma. I've got a fairly good idea of her features, hair, and outfit in my mind. Still working on getting her on paper.
She's going to have a side kick pet: Sam the "pirate" cat. For no particular reason, I've decided to give him an eye patch. And though I intend to keep him cartoon like also, he's not going to be anthropomorphic. He's going to be a "regular" cat with an eye patch.
