Duha is a hen extremely devoted to her religion and nation. She is a fierce warrior not just in body but in mind as well. Those that dare enter a battle with Duha, intellectually or physically are up for one hell of a fight. The golden hen is not afraid to speak her mind and put her oponent's arguments in the ground, however she does respect that not everyone thinks the same way she does. She's a creature full of pride and confidence, and she carries herself as such. Due to being so focused on her duties as a Saraphem Duha never shows her true self to anyone but her closest family. Though with both of her parents deceased she now has no one that she trusts enough. In her heart she has fragility and a fear of losing that which she holds dear, and even though she stands by her decision of not marrying while young she does wish that she could have someone to call her own.

History:
Duha was born to a wealthy, influential merchant and the beautiful, strong Saraphem Iman. The little golden fledgling was taught how to be strong and resilient from the moment she could stand on her talons. Countless hours of studies and rigorous training consumed her life, and her ambitious mother was her personal tutor. They grew very close, but Duha could see that her mother was sometimes torn between her duties and the tiercel she had wed. Even though it was obvious that Iman loved her husband and remained a devout sentinel, Duha didn't want that kind of distraction in her life. She didn't wish to bear children, because she knew that they would prove a distraction for her. Duha proceeded to decline every suitor that came to her after her fifth birthday, and she instead buried herself in herbal and magic studies. It was slow, but she managed to build her skills high enough to be considered fairly good at the very least.
From her fifteenth year and onward til her twentieth birthday the golden hen served by the Mirror Pool, protecting those that came to its blessed waters. She served well, though one season she was struck by tragedy. She was serving with her dear mother, and their time together had been like any time before. It was then the viper came. Duha and Iman fought the poisonous beast valiantly, forcing it back from where it came. Weak and desperate, the viper lashed out, biting Iman's neck and latching on. Duha kicked the beast from her mother's neck, but Iman was already bleeding profusely from her wound. With the viper dead, Duha slumped down next to her dying mother, vowing to never let Saraphem blood spill again.
She devoted herself to tutoring younger Saraphem as she retired. Shrouding herself in religious work, she adopted a harsh but fair image in front of her students. Duha took great joy in seeing her fellow sisters children flourish, and great pride in helping them on the right path.
The next few years were quiet. Even though she was now considered borderline too old to have children of her own, she still got the occasional suitor on her heel. She respectfully declined each and everyone of them. She was married to her work.
The golden hen would not forget the day that her heart would shatter once again. The sky rained fire, surely a punishment from Roth himself. Duha could only watch as the city crumbled around her. Only afterwards did she realise that her father hadn't escaped from his nest. She found him underneath the rubble, his red coat glistening with crimson blood. Duha now had no one. And once again she responded by burying herself in more work.
Soon the vultures came to the saraph ruins, promised to help them rebuild and feed their needy. Duha understood why her nation decided to take the tempting offer, but she did not agree with it. Tainting their strong image by accepting help from strangers, that didn't feel right. Duha knew they could have rebuilt without the Shadow Alliance ever being created. They should have waited until they had a strong leader again, the death of Taavetti had made them weak to outside influence and corruption.
When the Sultan Trials came along, Duha supported Khonsu Al-Taj. He was strong and he had rightly opposed the Shadow Alliance, something that only inspired further trust with him from Duha's point of view. The fact that he was blessed by Roth in his position as Sultan told her that her decision had been the right one.
With so much death and doubt in her later years, Duha has started to doubt not getting married and not bringing any children into the world. Even though she is getting older, she now wishes that she can have one child before it's too late.
