You are free to interpret the theme. A portal can be anything, and imagination allows for many kinds of worlds.
All you have to make sure to include, is a description of the portal and where or what it leads to (or from).
Be creative, be original, think like there is no box. This group is all about unusual artwork

We are in real life but sometimes circumstances open a portal, a hole, who leads us to nowhere land. A place in which the fog is coming to cover everything and sometimes the entry is a one way. 
Other times Limbo is a place where the souls of the children go into to wait to be born again.
