Of all there was to behold in the hours after noon, the rider continued their unperturbed,
comfortable pace through the forest he had become so accustomed to with time.

Whereas newcomers would shy away from this side of the environment, he found a quiet solace.
The stresses of the daily toil ebbed away with travel; the waters remained a soothing influence,
carrying away his wistful words lands far and in turn renewing his mind with a hush.

It was at this share of the day that the large beings inhabiting this part of their immense forest
moved easily on the currents that would return and leave. Whether it was with one's triumphant speed,
another's effortless grace, or, simply a gentle moving presence that sparked it, these inhabitants would
rise as if to remind visitors of the
life there is to be found among the pillars of centuries-old trees.

This idea that I built up on my canvas compelled me to write up a snippet of
prose to add a little bit more to what's going on here. Of course, I love leaving
these kinds of illustrations up to interpretation for all, but I really itched to
flesh out my take on this scene while keeping ends loose enough to evoke
questions and further curiosity. Why is this one traveler riding into such an
avoided part of the forest? Why does he seek the comfort of venturing out
into what others see as the hazardous unknown, and moving under the cover
of these tremendous jellyfish?

I had a lot of fun working with those jellyfish though! I mainly based them off
of sea nettle. Originally, I meant for this entire scene to be darker with them
glowing bright orange, but I felt that it might be a little overwhelming. It also
has been a long time since I painted a darker, actually green forest; although,
the blue hinting at the entire forest being underwater does make a good part
of it teal xD :D

Feel free to comment as well, I really appreciate them! Thanks for viewing my art~
 High-five!
