Alarik took a few step forward, the building groaned and clicked. “Hello?” There was a snapping sound followed by another. The support beam above Alariks head collapsed tumbling to the ground. The stallion leapt back, the beam landing no more than a few inches away from him. Alariks breathing heavied. The air thin and full of smoke. He jumped over the beam and began trotting up the stairs. Calling out again but still no answer, only crying. He followed the sound.

AHH I'm in love with this. I tried a different shading technique and I kinda like it. I managed this in one sitting and it only took 11 hours -flops- Thankfully It's raining pretty bad which means I was able to stay home and work on it. And The chapters are on their wrap ups.
It's fun to think in the next chapter I will have 5 characters to roll-play instead of two
