Heeey everyone! :D Welcome back to another round of the Scriven Inscribbler! :la: If you need a refresher on the rules, prizes, or other related information, I'll have it all posted at the end of this journal, so just scroll down a bit! :aww:

That being said, let's find out what this round's prompt is! :D

We didn't receive any entries for the last round (:noes:), so choosing the prompt for the new round has fallen to me. Our new prompt will be:
Stop.
Have at it! I want to see what you can come up with :aww:

Completed entries must be submitted to the Scriven Inscribbler folder by Tuesday, September 5th at 11pm!

Good luck!

Have fun!

:la:

Also, if you didn't make the deadline for a previous Scriven Inscribbler round, but still want to finish whatever it was you were writing, you can still finish the piece and submit it to the group! :aww:

About the Scriven Inscribbler:

The Scriven Inscribbler (SI) is a short writing contest. Each round is given a prompt that entrants must write on. Rounds run for three weeks from the starting date, after which the submissions will be judged, and a winner announced.

Rules

:bulletblue: The theme of the current Scriven Inscribbler needs to be incorporated into your work. You can interpret the theme as you wish, but it needs to be in your entry somewhere.
:bulletblue: At least one Jak and Daxter OC must be incorporated in the story. It can be your OC, or you can use another member’s OC if you have permission to use their character(s). The OC(s) does not need to be the star of the story, but they do need to play some kind of significant role in the plot.
:bulletblue: Each entry must be between 1,000 to 3,000 words (with a 100 word leeway on either end of the spectrum)
:bulletblue: All entries must be submitted into the Scriven Inscribbler folder before the deadline.

Additionally

:bulletblue: Elite Rounds will take place on occasion. These are much more specific prompts that require you to use certain items, sentences, dialogue, or events in your entry. Winners of these rounds receive 20 orbs.
:bulletblue: Critique others' entries to earn orbs. Whether or not you choose to enter the current round yourself, you can leave critiques on others' entries, and earn yourself 5 orbs per critique. Keep in mind, these must be helpful; if your critique is blatantly mean spirited, or overly suck up-y, you will not be awarded orbs. Also, be sure to note the group with a link to your critique-we can’t reward your critique if we don’t know it exists!
:bulletblue: Admins can enter, and potentially win. However, the Scriven Inscribbler admin (Currently, Oteibilitz) can only win in situations where no other members participated. In such cases (and anytime no one participates in a round), the SI admin will choose the next theme.

Prizes

:bulletblue: A week long feature on the group's main page of the winning entry, and 3 additional works as chosen by the winner.
:bulletblue: 15 orbs
:bulletblue: Picking the prompt for the next round of the Scriven Inscribbler
(depending on the amount of participation, we may be able to add more prizes in the future)

After these Scriven Inscribblers started (or rather started again xD) I felt like trying to write something, but I never really wrote a story before and my grammar might be terrible x'D

But man I'm so tempted to do something
