First let's review the different types of magic. There is Love Magic (LM) and Gift Magic (GM).
- Love Magic is earned by drawing an evoloon that YOU own.
- Gift Magic is earned by drawing an evoloon owned by SOMEONE ELSE.
You can only earn magic for your own evoloons. If another person draws an evoloon that you own, you do not earn magic.

Participation (P) is earned from participating in the community and will always be rewarded to you from a moderator.
Action Upgrades are earned from drawing your evoloon performing specific actions.
Anytime you draw your evoloon for a Participation or Action Upgrade, you also earn Love Magic. You will always get both; you do not need to choose between your rewards.

Companion Magic
Each companions adds the same amount of magic earned by their Evoloon master from a single drawing if used correctly.
- You can only earn companion magic from official companions.
- Only the evoloon that owns the companion can get the companion magic.
- Both the evoloon and the companion must be visible.
- The drawing must include a background in order to activate companion magic.
- If you have 1 evoloon + 1 companion, you get x2 magic. If you have 1 evoloon + 2 companions, you get x3 magic. Etc.
- The Rainbow Advantage only double the magic granted by companions. If you have the bonus + 1 evoloon + 1 companion, you get x3 magic. If you have the bonus + 1 evoloon + 2 companions, you get x5 magic (x1 for the evoloon, x4 for the companions).

Remember, LM and GM are calculated exactly the same way. So whenever I show examples of LM, the same points are also applied to GM and vice versa.

Here is the formula for calculating magic:

XD I know that looks complicated and you weren't expecting to do math, but don't worry: I'm here to break it down for you!
So here are the different parts of the formula.

C = Color. For any artwork to earn Magic it must be colored.
Color gives 2 magic per drawing.

S = Shading. Shading is optional. Shading must be on the actual evoloon, not just the background.
Shading gives 1 magic per drawing.

B = Background. A Background is optional. A background must show a scene with depth like an environment, or inside of a room.
Background gives 3 magic. Backgrounds only count once per evoloon, do not re-use backgrounds.

V = Visibility.
If the evoloon is visible, V will equal 1.
If the evoloon is not visible, V will equal 2.

CM = Companion Magic.
Companion magic is optional.
BOTH the companion and the evoloon must be visible to use companion magic.
If a companion is not visible in the image, CM will equal 1.
If a companion is visible in the image, CM will equal 2.
Keep adding 1 for each additional companion. So if there are 2 companions CM will equal 3. If there are 3 companion CM will equal 4, etc.
Remember the image must have a background to activate companion magic

Collaboration

For a collaboration, tally up all the magic that would be earned, and then split it.

Example: Artist 1 owns two evoloons, Artist 2 owns one evoloon. The drawing has all fullbodies, background, and shaded. One of the evoloons has a companion drawn with it.
All 3 evoloons earn Love Magic because both owners are involved.
All 3 evoloons reward Gift Magic because a person other than the owner is involved.

Now to tally the Love Magic
